Why haven't, out of all the DDR games released, has konami given us PARANOiA -Respect- or MAX.(period)? The gave us Dance Dance Revolution so why not, escpecially on X, did they give us those songs? Whats going on? The release order would be out of whack for the N.A. series but hey. Everybody knows how they were released in japan so that's not really an excuse. So what's going on here! Why is konami witholding those songs?

they're saving them for DLC for the ps3/360.
If you want them so damn badly, buy them.

Write a letter to Konami expressing your concern or something if your think their being stingy about those songs, but I think Silent is right. DDR PS3 is gonna be awesome, and I'm sure they'll save them for DLC.

Why don't you just download stepmania and get any song you want until they are released.
Or move to Asia.

You speak as if Konami owes us anything at all. If they released these few songs, it wouldn't increase sales significantly, if at all. Maybe Konami has a specific model on creation an CS game (so many license, so many AC cross overs, so much new content, etc), who knows, but I don't think Konami is actually being "stingy" about it. It's not like you can't play Respect at the arcade or both on Stepmania.

The answer to that is also liscencing issues. These also have to be worked around in order to see them in a US DDR game.

Well maybe I should'nt have said stingy but, it seems only orderly that they should have done that. I mean its not like i'm mad at them. I'm just frustrated over not knowing why.

Also if you want to write to Konami over two songs, then I want to firebomb them for everything they've done in Europe as of late.

I'VE BEEN TELLING YOU WHY DUDE! You seriously need to stop complaining about 2 god damn songs not making a US debut yet. I've heard complaints about songs not being in US games ALL THE TIME! If your so anxious to play them, DOWNLOAD Stepmania and download the official sims, or buy DDR Party Collection JP for Paranoia -respect- and DDR Extreme JP for MAX.(period). And buy a JP PS2, because you need one to play these games. Most likely they'll offer them as downloadable content for the DDR PS3 and 360 games. If they don't, then the JP DDR games I mentioned above or stepmania will be only way your gonna get to play them.
The main reason IS liscencing issues dude. Not only does konami decide what songs go into the games, but they need copywritten permission from the songs producers and artist. It can take some time to get a song included.

I like how people get upset over a couple of mediocre songs. Nothing amazing, nothing terrible, just mediocre.

Correction - everyone who's played in the arcade since Extreme has known about Respect. Almost nobody knows about Maxdot because it was never in the arcade, and the vast majority of players do not play or know how to play import games. Just because everyone in our community knows about Maxdot doesn't mean the song is widely known.Post #19 · Posted at 2009-12-05 07:23:22am 15.5 years ago

SuperNOVA, TSM. EXTREME's biggie was Survivor (MAX). But yeah, that's been out there, but it's also a Sota commissioned tune, so it might even be yanked from arcade X2! And possibly NEVER released here, now.
Should this JUST be PARA -Re- and MAX., I could understand the trolling-rolling; but I can't help but agree with the fact that X2 and HP3 DO appear to be VERY stingy releases; especially after what we've learned what can be expected of a new release. Like, the last SEVEN of them, here (EDIT: PS -or- Xbox-related systems, each). Even X brought about 25% more to the table, vastly unpopular as that mix was with the rest of people here. Now that version pretty much IS the most arcade-accurate release to date; and even THAT had over a dozen GOOD, FUN, and ENGAGING stages withheld from it. Konami Original ones ALONE.

I have almost PS2 DDR games. (I have all DDR title on all region except DS Fever, DS MAX, DS SN2)
So, i don't really upset if Paranoia ~Respect~ not released on USA soon.
I can play it from Party Collection or X Japan.
