What the hell? Why? He's been like the main music back bone of the Silent Hill franchise and a kick-ass bemani artist. How can this be?

Well... It is just similar to Nobuo Uematsu case. He left Square/SquareEnix and setup his own studio, but he still being comissioned by SquareEnix to compose musics for FF 14 now. May be Akira also wants to try something new in his life... but this would not stop Konami from comissioning him to do musics for Silent Hill or bemani music if he indeed no longer working with them now...
