When I try and open firefox, it gives me an error message
Error: Platform version '1.9.1.4' is not compatible with
minVersion >= 1.9.1.5
maxVersion <= 1.9.1.5
any idea on how to fix this?

A clean reinstall may do the trick (this happened to one of my friends)

where would I find the bookmarks outside of the firefox browser? :x
I'm looking through the program files but it doesn't say anything about bookmarks.

Firefox has an option to export and import bookmarks. In Firefox 3 (and I think 2 as well), this is under Bookmarks (menu) -> Organize Bookmarks; this should bring up a window which will have a menu option to export your bookmarks to an HTML file and another one to import them back.
