So, a few of us now have access to DDR Solo 2000 (4 panel mode). Is there any interest in getting stepcounts and setting up the songs in the tracker...?

2. Artists
3. Difficulties
4. Stepcounts

I have access to Solo on real hardware, only i'm limited to a 4-panel home pad

but yeah, apart from songs such as Hysteria, Let The Beat Hit Em, Paranoia Evolution, Celebrate Nite (all 4-panel)... we need stepcounts for all songs in 3 4 and 6 panel mode

Oh, and btw, the results page when you finish a song on S2K has zero indication of what song you played ^^;

Update: I've pretty much got the tracklist and feet ratings (initially nicked from DDRfreak) and am in the process of namually verifying it/correcting the multiple errors.

I'm about 3/4 the way through, then I'll start manually getting the stepcounts from 4 panel mode (annoying since there is no event mode on Solo, and you can't disable autofail, thus have to pass the song). 3-panel and 6-panel will have to wait.

I've not done stepcounts, so that'd be awesome - saves me serious effort I'm just concentrating on verifying the foot ratings for them all, and am pretty much done (just need the foot ratings for the Nonstop tracks and I'm finished - will take me 10 minutes next week to do). I've a spreadsheet that I'm compiling all the info into - shall I email it to you (if so, PM your email, plx)?

Solo 2000 is awesome! So many things I like about the game generally, it was well ahead of it's time.

I haven't done the Nonstops; I'll see in the next few if I can get out to get those counts, too. Yeah go ahead and send that over to djsterf@gmail.com and I can get those reg songs' stepcounts in.

Progress: Done with 4-panel NON-JUMPS (math has been done to subtract # of jumps so that jumps count as ONE and not two steps).

Ok, this is well in progress, I'll add the nonstops next week (I've got guests over who want to play EXTREME, and I've been PA'ing the Max 2 songlist over the last 4 days ), and then 4-panel is done. I'll probably crack out 3-panel as well (but 6-panel won't be possible for me at all)

How's it going to work with jumps counting as 2 steps but counting them as 1? When people want to enter scores in the tracker it's going to be difficult to work out what the tracker results were from the game results screens... you'd need a video or something :{

As I told DJ Sterf in a PM, jumps will count as one to maintain consistency in the database with all the other songs.

Just have everyone count # of non-perfects. Ug, that means that they can potentially get negative scores or get 2 Greats from one jump (e.g. Samba de Janeiro, that thing drifts), but I wish Konami would have kept everything consistent (heh).

Chi > On a Double cabinet, can you really play 3-panel as well, or would UR being jammed on affect that?

I'll use the Solo cab version and patch the I/O the old fashioned way... with wires I did this before the Doubles-remapped version was released

(As well as the select buttons, I'll probably patch 2P start to ground, Up-Left to left and Up-Right to right, so I can fake 6-panel too!)


I understand that, DJ Sterf already told me - I meant how would people using the database do the remapping to put the scores in the (as in they can't just subtract "n" perfects for "n" jumps and be accurate).

Not too sure on that. You could always enter the number of the other non-PERFECT judgements and just click the button that fills the PERFECT count automatically.

I know Chi and DJ Sterf sent me spreadsheets, I think DJ Sterf's one is at the work laptop so I can't access that right now.

I have Chi's spreadsheet which is all good except there's no level information and just partial step information.

And also, cos you only specified the song name in the first column, I can't distinguish which song counts for songs with the same name. For example, there are two rows for I'M ALIVE, but no artist name to tell which is what one.

Hang on, are we counting jumps as 2 separate step judgements?

Especialy since the judgement screen is displayed for all of 3 seconds :{

I've had worse, PIU Prex-3 seems more like 2.
