You asked this same question 6 months ago
And during those six months, you could have simply downloaded them one by one.

It's still a problem, so in my view, reminding people that it needs to be done is legitimate.

@kyzentun- thank you for your understanding
@silenttype01- i understand i asked like 6 months ago. i also understand that i could have downloaded each simfile in the 3 catagories like a hundred times in my spare time in the last 6 months. what i find unusual is how is it that these packs are still being worked on. they games were released years ago. the universe series has pack downloads, and at one point, so did the ultrimix series (UM4 has a pack download available).
my question is why cant this site just host a pack download for the most up to date packs for ultrimix 1-3? packs for just about every other pack hosted here have pack downloads, and to be honest, whether im downloading here, or other websites for simfiles, single sim downloading is annoying as hell.
so what is the deal? what work on ultrimix needs to be done? as far as being patient, i say ive done pretty damn well, but my patience isnt infinite. im sure there are others that would want pack downloads for this too. just 7-zip and post the link, then ill leave ppl the hell alone about the issue.

It's not that the packs are being worked on anymore. Ultramix 1-3 are complete and checked.
The only problems are that:
Ultramix 3 needs and update on the mp3s so that the sample starts start where they're supposed to and
Ultramix 1 and 2 need an audio upgrade from 128kbps to 320kbps.
As far as steps go, they're all complete.

what were the quality of the mp3s as they were ripped from the dvds?
also, why do you need an audio quality so high? 320 is optimal for 5 channel surround sound, 446 or so for 7 channel surround. 128 to 192 is optimal for 2 channel stereo (like computer speakers, or arcade cabinets). so 128 should be sufficient for stepmania/openitg/itg dedicab with r21.

Guys, why is T-Dog rated so low? This is not a reason to rate him down, for the reasons I gave in my previous post.
The fact that he could have downloaded them all individually is only slightly relevant. The point is that having the pack up would save time for everybody that doesn't have the songs yet. It would also save server load because people wouldn't be loading all the intermediate pages to get the links to the individual songs. If the songs need higher quality audio, and that audio is being obtained, then I'm fine with the pack downloads being delayed. But if getting that audio has been put at a low priority, and won't be done for months, then I think the pack downloads should be made with the current version, then regenerated when the audio has been updated.

kyzentun, i may not know you, but i love you man. thank you! i dont know why im rated so low either. but, to be honest, im not a frequent poster here, nor do i contribute anything to the simfile community, so my low rating is no big deal to me. you will get a plus 5 from me tho
i think in z-i-v 3rd style (im not sure exactly), if you clicked on a pack and saw the list of individual sims to download, in the column to the right had a direct link to the zip of the whole file, then links to just the sm or the bg or the mp3, etc, which was awesome for the mozilla app downthemall, but now thats not possible anymore due to 5th styles format for downloading sims.

didnt i read on this site somewhere that simfiles are set up so that when the banner, bg, mp3, and .sm are uploaded the site AUTOMATICALLY will zip them for a 1 shot download?
make the categories do the same thing. problem fucking solved. i'm kinda irked by how long new games take to get a pack put up, so this would be appreciated. i've had the UM song packs since well before they were on this site(and i redownloaded ones that got corrected), so those didnt bother me. having to wait for the SN2 and X packs bugged me greatly though.

No, you must have misunderstood.
It's automatically ZIPed up for that one simfile.
Entire packs need to be generated manually. Imagine updating lots of simfiles in a huge category, it would mean rewriting the entire pack on every little update. It doesn't make sense for it to be automatic.

Way to make a 2-month bump. Would it have killed you to make a separate thread for this?
EDIT: Holy shit, would you stop repeating yourself? You've asked this same question THREE times now.

you could have downloaded them a thousand freaking times by now. at this point you need to quit bitching. x2 and hp3 sims are the priority right now i'm sure, not pack downloads for a 5 year old game.

yeah, cause my low rating on this website has relevancy to my life.....
EDIT:
how about that? i just noticed that there are pack downloads to the ultramix 1,2,and 3 that were uploaded within the last 15 hours. i guess my "bitching" has paid off.
to who ever is responsible for the pack uploads, thank you!
now this thread can be locked, and it will no longer be bumped :/
