Tell me what you think of these auto generated charts.
is a mid-hard 9,
is a mid 11 for each. All four ~4 minutes long.
She Wolf (Calvin Harris Mix)
She Wolf (Deeplick Edit)
She Wolf (Moto Blanco Edit)
She Wolf (Radio Edit)
Currently, I have an autogenerating tool that generates charts like this. I can adjust the step density easily, and generate 5000 measures of chart in a second. It doesn't follow the music, but the steps are varied.
Current features:
Streams with candles.
Streams with no candles.
Streams with crossovers.
Jumpstreams.
Stepjump streams that use one of the stream functions to generate the separating steps, with any number of steps separating the jumps.
Planned features:
Holds.
Fix to not generate 16th stepjumps at the end of streams.
Break sections.
Short yellow note areas.
Add padding before the steps start.
Bracket stream sections?
Rolls?

Played the first one on Heavy. It's one of the most tiring things I've played in ages, but nowhere near the worst simfile I've ever played.
The variety in steps is awesome, and the steps are never actually illogical. There are a couple of awkward jumping moments, but it's nowhere near as bad as Unreal Heavy.
Not sure how it works, but it obviously has potential to be the most useful utility ever written for simfile artists. The best use I can imagine is for it to generate multiple possibilities of steps (stream sections, jump sections, skipping sections etc.) for any number of given bars, so that the writer can see how different sections of the song would work, with different steps. I can imagine that would vastly increase the variety of simfiles we see out there.

Yeah, my eventual plan is to maybe make a language that describes the rhythm of the steps. Thus, you would just set the rhythm, and the program would place the steps, with certain parameters to control candles, crossovers, and whatnot.
