Team Barefoot

Post here if you play barefoot on arcade or hard pads at least 2/3 of the time that you play. Barefoot on soft pads doesn't count because soft pads don't have screws or hard edges.

Bonus points if you play on injuries.

I tried it once, I did Matsuri Japan on mode barefooted on DDR 5th Mix...that hurt like hell

I usually play barefoot. I seldom use shoes while I play DDR.

I passed most hardest songs in DDR by barefoot...

My feet can move faster if I play by barefoot...

But honestly I prefer using shoes than barefoot

I hate getting injuries by playing barefoot

(In the past I still play DDR even with injured condition, my fingers are covered in blood )

That's just...TOO creepy.

I played and still play barefoot. I hurt myself only once playing DDR. but that was after a while day spent walking in lake district not really eating or drinking much and then playing Hard1 and hard2 courses. (on Euromix 2 for those who have no idea what that is).

When I got to Afronova I jumped on one of the screws and that hurt as hell.

Otherwise I passed Dignity CZ barefoot, Fascination Maxx and 12s in ITG barefoot. swo playing difficult songs barefoot is fine at least for me.

Well,depends on the pads condition..Unfortunately,most of pads in indonesia are bad. I often found my feet grazed after playing hard songs. So,I bring some plasters in my wallet.
Maybe someday you wanna try to play barefoot in indonesia ?

I tried playing barefoot once, and while I did OK scorewise, it's not something I would want to do on a regular basis

believe me I know how it feels to play on a really badly maintained or not maintained machine at all (points at Poland's machines in really terrible state...)

Tyma: I was the master of buffering hands at that time. But I can play triplets barefoot too now. But yeah...it's scary when I think of it now. But it never bothered me.

(I'll probably get arthritis just by playing music games...no matter how I play them...hm)

I'm... really confused. I don't know what "buffering hands" means, but I figured the *STREAM OF DEATH* in the middle of Dignity would be kind of hard with skin friction ^^;

You see, this is why I wear shoes all the time playing DDR/ITG/PIU.

Tyma that means that when you see 3 arrows at once you don't press all of them at once. But you step on one and then treat the rest as a jump. if you confirm the last note in perfect window you still get a perfect.

Ah! That's how I do it. What does it have to do with hands? o.O

UH OK I REALLY DON'T APPRECIATE BEING CALLED A WIMP I CAN PLAY BAREFOOT I JUST PREFER NOT TO BUT COME ON DUDE I AM NOT A WIMP I MAY NOT BE THE BEST BUT I AM NOT A WIMP OKAY GOT IT

(tl;dr: Technically, I could play barefoot just fine. But I prefer not to. Mainly because of all the dirt and trash that is on people's shoes that gets onto the pad. I don't know what your arcade pads are like but the arcade operators around here clean the panels maybe once a week with a minuscule amount of Windex.)

But other than that, i stick to my sucky soft mat . I don't play barefoot at the arcades, and probably not at my house.
