And it appears that the DDR Extreme has a memory card slot .. And I think I should make full use of it .. I wonder anyone have any idea how do you edit your own chart and play in the arcades? From what I heard, we need a PS1 Sony memory card and a DDR Extreme JP (Home version) .. Is that all? But I thought the home version Extreme is under PS2 and how is it possible to save in a PS1 memory card? Any help is appreciated .. Thanks Smile

I've been wanting to do this too, though I took the alternative route of forgoing japanese versions/mods in favor of hardware. So, I now have a DexDrive and PSX memcard, and can transfer data to and from it. I even got the older, working version of DDReditMAX2 from AIJ, so I can rewrite the steps into the right format. My issue is figuring out what format I have to save it as so PSXGameEdit can properly treat it as an Edit Data library and transfer it (rather than each edit taking up its own slot on the memory card, which DDR Extreme can't recognize). But, lately I haven't done much about solving the problem since I've moved to a base that doesn't have DDR nearby. =/

As far as having a modded PS2, you can just save edits on any japanese PSX game and bring them in. For PS2 games like Extreme, I think there's an option to export the edit data to a PSX memcard.

So that means I need a DexDrive for that? I'm not too sure whether my PS2 is modded because whenever I try to save the PS2 memory into my PSX card, it wouldn't detect.. Well maybe I can just try loading 2 memory card at once and transfer the data? Might try that later .. Thanks Smile

"Not sure if your PS2 is modded"... oy vey. Modding involves opening up your PS2 and making a physical modification so it can't distinguish games from other countries. I'm pretty sure you would know if you've done that.

Also as far as bringing PSX memcards to the arcade, ddrfreak recommended using Sony brand.

Hmm I don't think I can save any PS2 datas into my PS1 memory card .. It wouldn't work =(

Here's what DDRMAX US's manual has to say about transferring edit data, in case you're missing a step:

Quote: Manual
To use edit data created in DDRMAX with DDR KONAMIX, refer to the following instructions:
1) Access the Library Manager (in EDIT MODE) and OUTPUT the selected data to your PS2 memory card.
2) Copy the edit data from the PS2 memory card to a PSX memory card by using the PS2 console browser screen.
3) You can now use the copied edit data in DDR KONAMIX.
4) Refer to the DDR KONAMIX instruction booklet for more information on using edit data.
NOTE: This function only works with songs that exist in both games.
