Modern Warfare 2 - Worldwide Reveal

Looks like Infinity Ward has provided a Collector's Edition of Modern Warfare 2, and since this is the same team behind CoD2 and the first Modern Warfare. Anyone looking forward to it?

Bump for the release of the game. Has anyone played this yet? Because I'm looking forward to this.

...MW2 is a most definite buy if you like FPS.

Played it on Campaign (although am still not done with it because my bro wants all of us, me and his girlfriend, to see the whole campaign), Special Ops, and Online.

Campaign has a good story (and a level that will LITERALLY offend you if your not that much into random terrorist attacks...It's the third level and your in an airport with the terrorist group that you want to get, but your undercover and the guy, Makarov, literally gets his guys, goes to an airport in Russia and starts shooting people for the heck of it, and yes you are obligated to shoot and blow up people because if you turn on them, you will blow your cover and they will in turn shoot you.) It's pretty different from GTA IMO...

Special Ops are like short missions you can do either Solo or with another person either locally or online. Pretty fun on Regular, but when you get to Hardened or Veteran, it gets TOUGH.

Online is A LOT more aggressive/intense, but if you've played the first MW online, your pretty set to play online for MW2. You now have A LOT of things to do for bonus points, each gun has their own achievements, their own attachments, you can also get killstreaks and customize the way you want them to appear and junk, just A LOT of things to do if you plan on playing online. New perks that allow you to dismantle a person's UAV if they are near you, allow you two kills in one (as in it will count as two kills if you kill one person), and other things. Oh, and you can upgrade your perks too.

And that's pretty much about it, levels online are pretty massive, so your pretty much going to have to be stuck with Marathon or another perk that allows you to run fast. But overall the game is just pure gold, best shooter i have played for a while (COD:WaW Tongue)

Had my copy for XBOX 360 since Saturday. Like Max said, it's a DEFINITE BUY. Campaign is, IMHO, better than COD4 or WaW. Max also mentioned the "Offensing" level, though I found it interesting. There's an option to skip it before you start the campaign mode. Online is helluva aggressive. Perks have been rearranged or altered, there's more variety with guns, and shotguns are secondary weapons, which means M1014 + AK-47 = Overkill. One flaw about online is that you're forced out of Party Chat when playing certain team modes. Haven't touched Spec Ops yet so I can't say anything about it. Well worth the $80 (Hardened Edition).

I got the Prestige Edition for PS3 on Monday night/Tuesday morning. Love it.

My gamer tag is MrTM2 if anyone wants to add me as a friend. Smile

LIES! You're supposed to be a pirate!

On topic: Not getting the game. Not that I think it's bad, it just doesn't seem like my kind of thing.

Would've gotten it if IW hadn't screwed the PC version over with no dedicated servers and other factors.
