This is an iPod touch/iPhone app that lets you access info about any DDR arcade in the world. I can probably get the logo up here sometime later today because I'm on my iPod right now.

God, iPhones have an app for nearly everything nowadays...maybe I should invest in one of those instead of a IIDX home setup....nahhhhhh.
But seriously, this is huge. I've been going by DDRFreak's machine locations for a long time, and they're ANCIENT. This looks legit, I'm glad a newer location tracker is out.

I'm not entirely sure, but it looks like the Compendium does go by DDRFreak's machine locations. They give credit to DDRFreak for the DDR data.
I think I'll download this later and give it a whirl. If it does support new arcade locations, I'll be happy to see that. =D
Is it free, or do we have to pay for it? I'll still try to download it regardless.
Edit:
Yeah, this is mostly from DDRFreak, but it does have a nice interface, which is basically the iTouch list interface.
Unless it's for a donation or something, I don't see the need to pay for the app though...the ads featured at the bottom of the screen don't seem too unbearable.

Amusing... How lazy are people anyway...? Why do we need an iPhone app for something that simple?
DDRFreak is pretty unreliable. Nobody helps to correct changed information, so it takes WEEKS for a detail change to take effect. Often times I go to an arcade expecting an 8th mix machine, but then I find out they sold it already because nobody was playing it.
Still, they're pretty accurate when it comes to confirming the existence of an ACTUAL DDR machine, so if you don't care about the version then Freak is the way to go.
