For all you jailbroken idevice users you can now play stepmania on your idevice!!!!! In cydia there is new app called Tapmania that does this. It only supports dwi format right now but songs with itg stuff like rolls, mines ( maybe hands I havnt tried any songs with them yet though) can't be used. It doesn't have that weird judgement crap in DDR s and feels pretty darn close to the real stepmania. The only mods right now are speed mods and for some reason it is MUCH easier to read faster bpms in this compared to DDR s. There are a decent amount of bugs but the game is so amazing that it dosnt matter!!!
Ps it's in the alpha stage right now meaning that this isn't the final product

This program right here made the jailbreak all worth it. The speed mods actually go up to 8, the game runs between 50-60 FPS, and it just seems to work, despite it being in alpha. Amazing game, miles better than DDR S is.

I don't think it can handle 800 bpm though cuz when I played Pluto relinquish it just skipped the 800 speed up and kept going on whatever bpm it is at the start.. You can also end the song if you touch the arrows at the top. Btw does anyone know how to convert sm to dwi?

Just go to the song editor in stepmania and REsave the said file/song and it will overwrite the file and make a new one. Go to the song folder in the stepmania program folder and you will see a .dwi and.sm file with either a old.dwi or old.sm file. Select the new .dwi and it should work.

Which you can create using the method MrTM2 explained.

I know this sounds cheap, but why buy a few songs when you can have hundreds for less? I do sometimes give my money to Konami, though, so I'm not that cheap.Post #9 · Posted at 2009-03-17 09:27:44am 15.1 years ago

I don't play much DDR S because of the atrocious timing and frame rate, this game seems pretty spot on as far as that stuff goes.
