Yep, betson announced that the update disk for DDR Supernova will be released this summer, and will have 200 to 300 new songs added to the machine. ITG cabinets can now be converted to SN cabinets as well.

Apparently so. It's really interesting; I wonder if this will come to the UK eventually.

I had my bet on a typo, because a songlist with 500-600 songs would be hell to navigate through without song folders.

That's hott. I have one question, though: 200-300 more, or new as in brand new songs? There's a difference.

By brand new, it probably means songs that has never appeared in arcade from home versions. Apparently there's 100-150 of them; but 200-300 ... that's a thinker.

200 to 300 does mean new to THIS ARCADE MIX. keep that in mind as well. we have ultramix songs, Dancing stage songs, Disney mix songs, mario mix songs, and even now In the Groove songs that could all show up. I dont know of any that will for sure show though.

here's my prediction of whats on the update disk:
-Max.(period) and a bunch of home version exclusives(including SuperNOVA CS) that never saw the light of day in arcade mixes.
-no ITG content or songs whatsoever(ITG is cool, but it would ruin DDR).
-All new Konami originals, remixes and liscences from Dancemania.
-All 4 Bosses unlocked for "all music" mode, including the new song "Trim" from Supernova CS.
-New Courses.
-New Mods.
-Timing is perfect on all songs.
-Not definite(guessing on this), but a custom simfiles feature installed to allow your own custom song simfiles(including banners, bg's and preview music) to be played on SuperNOVA AC via USB port.hopefully if this happens, all the bugs will be worked out, unlike ITG's r21 custom songs patch
Thats my opinion of what i think is going to be on the update disk coming out this summer for supernova cabinets. I'm not 100% sure, but i think Konami has a huge suprise in store for all it's DDR fans. You never know, what i said, may happen, but i'm 81% sure this could be the outcome of all of this. Well, until we get definite info on what the update disk has in store for us, we'll have to wait and see.

You know, the PS2 graphics rip revealed MY MUSIC in SELECT A STYLE... so your own music on SuperNOVA machines MAYBE possible in the near future. Link Mode ... I doubt it now, it's not on the US or Japan PS2 versions.

By my boyfriend, who types what I say. ..............What the hell are you talking about? That will never happen. its not even a possibility. Thats like saying
"Guessing on this.....but I am 81 percent sure that they will put a dance mania X setup on the ddr machine to get your hands going at the same time as your feet. But Im pretty sure it will happen."
That was ITGs last attempt at keeping ITG alive, by giving us that. That would totally RUIN DDR. It was Roxors last ace, they would have never done that had they not known they were doomed.
By someone else with a hitler picture. there is no way that this could ever happen and you're dumb for thinking it could
and some squirrell looking thing. Did you stop to think about that for a minute? Konami doesn't use a simulator to play DDR, and completly reworking the game to do so means pretty much a different game, so a little update wouldn't make that happen.
Plus players could use that to play previously licensed songs like Flash in the Night which could get Konami in trouble unless they put a blacklisting feature in the game.
Just will never work.
Please, stop telling people this. It WILL NOT Happen.

Hmmm, there's no point arguing, we have no idea what KONAMI could come up with at this point as they haven't confirmed anything.

Personally, I would really love to put edits of songs in SuperNOVA on the machine. That would be enough for me. And the boss songs. And MAX. (Period). And... I think I should stop there.

As this is old NEWS,
Even with the UPDATE DISK INSTALLED people are still complaning about that KONAMI has miss a lot of songs which aren't sync correctly, plus that BUG thing in TUTORIAL MODE.
but theres no point in making another UPGRADE DISK Because of DDR SuperNOVA2
