I just got stepmania and its for mac and i want to know how i can get the songs and shtuff on it...
should i get them here, and dont they need to be smzip files? and i just need help in everything to get songs on stepmania.

All simfiles should be compatible with mac...I don't THINK there's a difference. SMZIP files are just for ease of use. You don't actually need an SMZIP to get simfiles.
LONG EXPLANATION AHEAD.
Download the ZIP files from this site if you choose. Then, find the stepmania folder on your computer. Find the "Songs" folder and open it. Make a folder in it. Name it whatever you want. You just need a folder inside of the songs folder to place simfiles in.
Then, once you've unzipped some simfiles, simply place the simfile folders inside the folder you made.
Sorry it was kind of long and winded, but I think I covered anything. If there is a different method for macs, someone please correct me.

you can download packs of DDR here, just go to the main page of zenius -i- vanisher, then Bemani, that is in the upper side, then DDR & DS, and then simfiles, you will get directed to this page:
zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/simfiles.php
ok there will say: Welcome to DDR & DS section, at the left side, there should say something like DDR & DS packs, or official packs, you click, then you will need to choose the pack you are searching, are clasified by arcade and console, you can download songs individually or the full pack. They are in zip format, or rar, so you need Winzip or Winrar or Power Archive (for zips), you extract the song(s) to the folder inside the folder Songs which is placed inside the folder of StepMania with by default is installed in ProgramFiles
