As an ambassador from BCL forums...

This is gonna sound kinda nuts, but bear with me.

I lurk around a lot over on BCL (Beyond the Camera's Lens) the most comprehensive Fatal Frame fansite on the internetz, and we've been struggling with Nintendo for a while now.

As some of you might know, in Japan, Fatal Frame IV was released and was given good to great reviews. However, Nintendo (as well as Tecmo) have been giving all American fans the ultimate two-step about a release date, each telling us to ask the other. Even when a shining opportunity to ask Reggie Fils-Aime a question arose, he completely ignored it, as evident in the following quote from Gamedaily:

It's been getting rather aggravating and frustrating, but now we have another opportunity. IGN.com has posted a list of the five Wii games that should be brought over to the US from Japan, and Fatal Frame IV is one of them. They also have a POLL that asks which one is most wanted. As an "ambassador" of sorts from BCL forums, I wish to ask anyone that wishes to vote for Fatal Frame IV to do so.

you know I've been disappointed with Nintendo. they are releasing repetitive games that disappoint fans of the game series. And now their stupid excuse of releasing a series of GameCube remakes for Wii. I DON'T WANT TO PLAY A GAME I'M ALREADY 100% FAMILIAR WITH! They are trashing their fan base, for what? Newcomers? What's the point of that when most of the newcomers are eventually going to become fans? First the disappointing Mario Kart Wii, then the Golden Eye conspiracy, then Animal Crossing City Folk disappointment, and now the GameCube Wii-makes! I can't take that much disappointment! For once could Nintendo cater to the fans?

oh i heard it from my friend
my friend told me that they were going to release Golden Eye for the Xbox 360's Live Arcade. They had the game all ready for release plus it had a option to make the graphics more improved or the original graphics. anyway they got the permission from all the companies except Nintendo because they said no, even after they offered the ability for Nintendo to add it to the virtual console
I can't remember which employee of Nintendo said no to the offer

Dude, GoldenEye is like the best N64 game of all time (the graphics at the time were pretty awesome, and now? FUNNY AS HELL! But still FUN!) i would trade my two Super Mario 64 games JUST to be able to play that game again...

...wow man, Nintendo needs a reality check .

In this situation, isn't Nintendo's back-up flawed, considering that they'll also need permission from the 007 licensees, and they're pretty tight when it comes to permissions (the Peugeot 1007 can't be legally be called the one-double-oh-seven, for example), so the chances of it appearing on the VC were slim?
