DDR U3 Online?

I was just wondering if anybody played Universe 3 online, because whenever I go on, there's usually absolutely NO ONE on. I know DDR isn't as popular as Halo, CoD, RB, etc., but I still find it a bit strange. I go on whenever I'm on the Xbox to check to see if anybody's on. If you play, (and wanna face me), my gamertag is Mini Massey (probably under my avatar too, but...), so if you wanna face me, add me or message me and I'll be on.

Sorry, but my older brother is a "Playstation" fanboy and WILL NOT get a 360...he just doesn't (while on the other hand I DO...)

If I could get a job, I'd definitely get IIDX troopers and a lot of other things... which is why I need a job. XD I'm hoping to get one at a printing press down the street for a summer job.

Over here in Canada, probably because the exchange rate is approximately 0.8, our jobs start at a minimum wage of $8.50 (if you're 15 and a half). So we'd get about $6.90 American, which is good enough pay for a 15 and a half, but some people can get that amount at even 14, but I'm going to wait until the summer to get a job, so... Yeah, in American, I could get 6.90 and hour, and I'm 15! I'm happy with that.

Well i gotta get a few things before buying a 360 hehehe

These things are:
- Guitar Hero: World Tour (game and guitar only) for PS3
- Next DDR Game for the PS2 (hopefully it will come out for the PS3)
- DJ Hero OR Scratch (depending on which game has the better controller/gameplay/songs...with the controller of course)

...and that's about it, pretty much after that i will get the 360 (but that's going to be for a LONG while ) ...i would give it Christmas time i MIGHT have enough money to buy the system alone (UN 4 or next 360 DDR if available by that time).

Oh yeah... the next DDR Universe... I hope it's even better than UNI3 (by not having songs like Once Apon A Time... *Shudders*), and has something even harder than 888 Oni!

EDIT: it sucks that Konami took out the online mode from the DDR PS2 versions on DDR X...i COULD have had the opportunity to play online NOW and guess what? i can't because it is only available for LAN use only

Actually, I was going to try it about a week ago, and then I was like, wtf why can't I get on? Oh well, at least I still have the next DDRs coming out this year (hopefully) to look forward too.

Online wasn't really worth it anyway. The songs were chosen at random, and felt a bit tacked on. I only played it on SN2 US a few times, if only to be able to purchase bag and NGO from the get-go.

...yea, it was something that i didn't like from the online mode, but hey, it WAS online...

I hope that they discontinue the LAN feature and put back a new and improved online mode where you can become the host of a "room" and get three more players into your "room" and you (or them, whichever ones) gets to select the songs instead of randomizing it...

Sounds plausible. It'd be better if each person in the room (besides the host) take turns selecting songs.

I can't see how they can do better with UNI3. A bunch of awesome songs and well-written steps for all difficulty levels, including the abundant use of Challenge I've been wanting all along. I don't care if crap like Once Upon A Time and 888 is on there or if Out of Decaf has too many freeze arrows and the Senses remix has the same chart as the original, UNI3 is the sex.

Don't hold your breath for UNI4 to be better, but it'll easily be better than UNI2 (no real 10's, only 2 in-house originals, and some of the steps were almost UM1-like...meh).

I thought about this last night, actually! There is a very good reason that Konami doesn't want to switch to the PS3 just yet. The PS3 doesn't have the computer chip that the PS2 used to run the games, which means that if Konami wants to make a PS3 DDR, they would not be able to use the old engine for the game that they've been using for years. They would have to completely rebuild the game from the ground up, all over again. And I can completely understand why they're staying away from that, and not just with DDR but IIDX too. To move to the PS3 they would have to start building the game engine, well, a while ago lol. The PS2 is coming dangerously close to its end within the next year or two, and my guess is that Konami already started working on the engine/interface they're going to use for the first DDR/IIDX PS3 game.

Well, if they do, then they better start either making US IIDX, or make the DDR for both the PS2 and PS3.
