Intersting stuff you've found on CD's

It's sometimes really interesting on what things you can find on a CD when you browse it or rip stuff off it. Like just today I found something really neat when ripping the SOUNDS.DAT off the DDR X disc. What I found was the announcer saying "Special Stage!". What makes that odd is that it was what the SuperNOVA 1 & 2 announcer called the Encore Extra Stage, but in DDR X he calls it by the real name, "Encore Extra Stage!". Neat huh? So anyway post your neat findings on a CD here!

What would a "Special Stage" be? Like, in a special game mode?

no it's the Encore Extra Stage. The old announcer in SuperNOVA 1 & 2 called their Encore Extra Stage "Special Stage" while the DDR X announcer called it by its real name, "Encore Extra Stage". I was just saying that when I ripped the CD I found the DDR X announcer and one of the files had him saying "Special Stage" instead of how he usually says it. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. There were some really odd sounds on that disc. Like one of the sounds there sounded like my sisters cell phone when she gets a text message! and then there's one file that has a sound of a spring going "sproing"

BUMP: I just ripped the SN2 announcer off my US CD (which took a loooooooooong time to do) anyone interested? i'll gladly upload it somewhere and post the link here if anyone would like it. It has all the announcers voice excluding the battle announcer and the cheering and booing crowds.

i don't like megaupload anymore. reason for that is that i accidentally changed my port number and now the downloads don't work and each time i have to change my port number to make it work. oh and i remembered my password to my filefront account and it's uploading now roughly 10 minutes to go

it's surprising on how much announcer stuff is not used in the game.
i also found some sounds that is used in the arcade version of SN2 as well!

Didn't I hear somewhere about a DDR version having a messed-up battle mode announcer?

And I sure hope that the X announcer is not alone in the DDR X disc.

it would also give Takuya's DDR X announcer a push because the puclic would have the content and be able to work on it. i might just do that. it'll take a while, but i think this could be more usable at the moment. i can't do it right now, but i should be able to tonight. what really sucks is that i have to rip each sound 1 by 1 (which is good too in a way) and also each sound has to be sped up 2 times both in pitch and speed.
by any chance is there a program where you can open many audio file at the same time and change their pitch and speed on all the audio files opened? that would really speed up my work.

BUMP: Just want to tell everyone my ripping process of the DDR X announcer is going kind of slow due to being tired today but it should be up sometime this week hopefully (depends on my homework level)
