Added Street View functionality. You can see the markers in Street View too.

Okay, I am still working on that CSV. There are a lot of exceptions and it is causing a lot of problems (the area on the left side follows a rough format, but not everyone follows it).

I'll put up what I do have done in Excel so you can see (it isn't complete, but this should at least help or give you a taste of what it might look like...and in proper CSV format, not this Excel stuff). There will still need to be translation done once all the data is hammered in the right place anyways.

Also, did you add those two other games I mentioned on the last page? No rush, but quite a few arcades have the Project DIVA game and Musical Gun Gun isn't that uncommon.

EDIT> Also, Paca Paca Passion is another game quite a few arcades have (that is an older one)

I've added them two, but with rough release dates. If you can provide the actual release dates, that'd be great.

Thanks for the XLS, the format is still somewhat obscure lol, the machine list probably needs to be formatted a little better so I can parse it well but if that's not possible then I'll figure something out. Smile

Yeah, the main problem is that the whole left panel is a free text area and everyone has their own ideas about how to format it. I am pretty sure I can bang something out from it, though.

...and also translate the important bits.

I'll work on those release dates for the three titles (including paca paca passion) and get that to you a bit later

You should ask sherl0k for the DDRFreak locations data.

Thanks, those are now fixed.

The worst case scenario for those locations is that we import all location data but no games...? Would mean someone will have to do the grunt work of entering all the games and opening times manually...

Okay, thanks.

I also updated the Excel sheet slightly to fix some of the alignment problems. There are still problems, but I am working on that. In general, the last 7 columns should align to the right 7 columns (all related to the DDR mix/price/conditions)

At this point I could almost fix it by hand and then put that up but I'll try to tweak the conversion script a bit more.

Translation is going to take a bit...The arcade names should be easy, but the conditions/comments could take a while. Can I leave those in Japanese and edit them later, or so you need it from the get go?

EDIT> Updated the Excel file again. The order is different but at least most of the data is consistent this way. Take a look at it now.

I've imported the spreadsheet into Google Docs and this is how it stands:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AqsLawbiiNPRdE9oR0RyNThTV3VSanlGTlpSNXJPdWc&hl=en&authkey=CMyXgr8D

We need it so each arcade is on it's individual line. Smile

Aw, cool.

Okay, I see the last updated column (the last one) is fubar on Google Docs, but that field isn't so important (perhaps). It might be the Japanese date format in Excel messing up somewhere :/

I think the reason there are still multiple lines is because of straggling <BR> tags in the description (even though I am specifically filtering them out...weird)

If I can figure that out, it will at least be one arcade per line

...

There!

Okay, check out that Excel file link again (much easier to use this new file as a base than to try and update the Google Docs file considering I changed the conversion script)

All those newline characters messed things up nicely

http://aaronin.jp/ddrnavi/ddrnavi_list.xls

EDIT> One thing to note is that I have already added... 7 arcades by hand (2 in Toshima-ku (Ikebukuro) and 5 in Chiyoda-ku 千代田区) In the final import, you can probably skip those.

As for the pics of the arcades, I don't mind uploaded them manually later. Tedious, but not a priority compared to the rest of the data

EDIT EDIT> Oh yes, check the Longitude and Latitude values...I hope I don't have them switched around my mistake

Most Japan locations added from ddrnavi.

Province longitude and latitudes averaged out from the imported arcade locations. All original data stored as plain text in Location Information.

Bump: I've also added DDR X2 (Asia) in the list.

I added Jacksonville, FL, USA's Adventure Landing at Blanding Blvd today. Sadly, the computer added two, so I couldn't delete the other location. Later on, though, when I have time, I'll fix this by editing it to the other Adventure Landing location on Beach blvd.

Thanks for the data import. I'll look at it later today if I get time in finer detail, but the base information seems correct at a glance.

Updated the Shibuya Kaikan Monaco location. Since I put the prices in Yen, they're not showing up.

Just updated Anime Fan Zone's listing (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA). I'm also the owner of the location.

Thanks for having this database and I was amazed to see we were already listed on your site. I saw a link to it from AIJ.

You're supposed to enter the prices numerically, no yen symbols or anything.

No problem.
I've made some minor tweaks to the map. When you click on a marker, the game names are now shortened and you will see a "condition bar" to the left of every game.
