Went to Arcade Werehouse in Lincoln yesterday. Would absolutely recommend to any of my UK bros. Drew a crowd playing Taiko no Tatsujin. FINALLY 1cced Point Blank on a real cabinet. Played a fully-functioning MUSECA for the first time. T'was a good day.

This has been on my mind for a a while now.

I'm a 90s kid, and I got exposed to Eurodance as a kid because my uncle moonlighted as a DJ. If I hear something new on the TV, I can bet my coins that he'll get a vinyl record of that song in two weeks or less, whether it be Vengaboys, Steps, Ace of Base (I gravitated towards "The sign" for some reason), etc.

I got really sad when Eurodance died and hip hop became popular. We went from listening to the artists above, some one-offs from Crispy, Solid HarmoniE, Tamperer,etc. to Bone Thugs and Harmony, D12, Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, etc. It just isn't my scene, and it didn't help that all the popular kids latched on to that with their bandanas, silver chains, baggy bootleg JNCO jeans, etc. while I was watching everything pass me by.

But then again though, I can't be the only one who didn't find some of the eurodance music cringy. Recently found a channel and got me living and cringing in my own nostalgia. You think "Cotton Eyed Joe" was horrible, I got some things here to for the rest of you.







I feel the cringe coming back yet again.

I'm currently writing a college paper for my First-Year Writing class and decided to write about Zenius -I- Vanisher, as it is a gaming site I find so interesting and quite nostalgic actually.

Can anyone give feedback or insight on what you would say the common goals are of this website and what connects you all as gamers on this website? What are some inside jokes that exist only on here and nowhere else?

I have to agree with YYYY/MM/DD being the best date format. It sorts itself even better when paired with the 24 hour clock format (e.g. 2023/11/01 23:51:36 instead of 11/01/2023 11:51:36 PM). For quite some time now, I've been using the YYYY/MM/DD date format for my PC as well.

It just is, isn't it? Decades of pissing matches between the US and the UK about whether it's month first or date first, and it turns out BOTH of them are wrong.
