I plan to shit on Biden too, I'm just saying it's better to have a 2/10 than a 0/10. "Both sides are just as bad" are the reason y'all got Trump in the first place and I'm pretty sure the only things he accomplished was kissing up to North Korea and Saudi Arabia while hitting the rollback switch on a bunch of stuff just because it was introduced during the Obama administration.

Not the bad stuff, mind you, just the stuff that protects minorities. Y'all got no idea how jealous I am of you - we still have to deal with Boris fucking Johnson for a few years.

I don't see Biden further destroying the US and the world at least. That doesn't make him a good candidate for president, far from it, and of course, we're going to have lots of moments when we'll be frustrated and angry with his actions and inactions. You don't have to like Biden to side with Biden, but to say he's as bad as Trump is to say none of what Trump did in the last four years ever got to you. With Trump again for another 4 years backed by the Republican Senate that holds him to absolutely no level of accountability, we'd be seriously doomed, except for those of us who are the ultra-rich and aren't underprivileged in any way whatsoever. Our democracy and world tensions are at stake here with that clown, and many more of us will die to not just his inaction about, but rather the encouragement of, police violence as well as the pandemic running wild combined with a terrible healthcare system. Now imagine things he would do on a second term given that he does NOT have to run for reelection.

It's up to the responsible people to stop the pendulum. If the Democrats go full apeshit and laugh at "MAGA cringe compilations" for the next 4 years, nothing will have been accomplished. That is only going to make the Republicans angrier than the Dems were in 2016 and we are going to be caught in a shitspiral that we can never get out of without several million people fucking dying.

This will definitely be the case if the Republicans get their way in January's two Georgia runoffs, which is very likely for now given that neither Trump nor Biden are on the ticket that month, and the election will have faded from everyone's minds by then. Wishful thinking suggests that runoffs are very likely to receive lower turnout anyways.


Other than some executive orders, the above scenario could be likely assuming the GOP wins the GA runoffs, and the Senate would be 52-47-1. If the Dems won the said GA runoffs then the Senate would be 50-49-1, with the VP breaking the tie, allowing Biden to accomplish his goals.

We're taking you to Round 1 when you graduate clown school.

I don't actively see Biden writing back every single climate agreement written into law never mind the protections of LGBTQ+ people and selling off government seats to his donors but like -- do you.

Saying Biden is "just as bad" as Trump....clown behavior. Just like, don't hold presidents on pedestals and hold their feet to the fire when they fuck up, that's something everyone should do. But saying that the opposing candidate is as bad as the one endorsed by the KKK, neo-nazis, alt right militia, etc. is an intellectually challenged statement.

It's truly just a big mess these days.
Perhaps it's because people continue to vote politicians who have held their positions longer than I've been alive yet expect change?
Perhaps it's because the system we use needs your vote, but won't miss it if you don't use it? (You should still vote, though.)
Maybe it's because no one thinks there's better choices due to the stigma of ever voting 3rd party? It's not like there wasn't time to do some research. (I still have no clue what Kanye was planning to do other than keep his word of running for president, and even then he didn't; he ran for vice-president.)

There are probably many more issues, but they can't be easily resolved, hence why they're likely still there.

One thing I found telling: using *that* same slogan for re-election as what got him elected, so what were these last almost 4 years? Set-up?

Reading this out loud, I sound so pessimistic. That's not like me.
