Can we agree that 2020 is so far the worst year on record? After thinking that this year would be a saving grace just made an absolute 180 and go down the gutter? I’m all of a sudden worried about the end of the year again!

What even happened to convince you that 2020 is "the worst year on record"?

It's all relative, basically, For instance I didn't like 2019 at all but obviously for other people it was probably the best year. I loved 2010 but it was probably a disaster for other people somewhere, and it's really hard to say what are the worst and best years from an objective standpoint.

On what basis are we deciding on the worst year?

frustrated about things in general. wishing people were a bit more sensitive to each other. feeling blue.

Also, my opinion on "worst year ever" is that it won't be the worst year unless all the countries nuke each other and we literally go into a third world war. Coronavirus is bad, but most of us are able to stay inside anyway. Most of us already practice what's expected for social distancing. At least we're safe and comfortable in our homes. Would be worse if the governments decide to draft us all into war. That would make it the worst year. So at least it's not that.

So, it's Biden vs Trump.

Yeah I get it, everyone wanted Bernie, and he probably was the better choice over Biden. But I swear to god if Trump wins again I'm blaming all the "Bernie or Bust" people.

Someone has to be elected. "Neither" isn't an option. Yes, neither may be great, but one IS worse than the other.

That's my take on the matter, anyway. Do whatever you want, I can't stop you. Free country and all that jazz.

The DNC had four years to find an alternative. And if the best they can do is a repeat of 2016 but worse, losing is absolutely what America DOESN'T need, but it's what the DNC absolutely fucking deserves.

Additionally we've seen what happens when the shoe is on the other foot in the UK. Bernie would have been fucked from the get-go by EXACTLY the same people who are calling for unity. People would rather lose to Trump than face the prospect of something changing.

I have the popcorn on the ready to watch the political shitshow going down this November, assuming that the coronavirus outbreak doesn't hit us with a second wave.

The DNC can't even primary or caucus. They never learned from 2016 and never will.

Also let me insert a short, quick vent about Joe Biden... he can't even think straight. I'm not a doctor, but we all see that he is showing dementia-type traits. He can't remember where he is, he says the wrong things, he speaks in gibberish, he mixes up names and he plagiarizes other famous political figures (he got caught doing this back in 1987/88).

There could be more gaffes/slip-ups/mistakes I may have missed but that's Joe Biden for us.
