So I finally found an old arcade game I was searching for over 10 years. What were my clues that I keep on asking Google?

-It is a shmup.
-It's most likely running on a NEO-GEO system.
-It has a shop system that you access at the end of every stage.
-The word "replenish" is used on the shop screen.
-One of the weapons you can use is called "Nuke".
-It's an arcade game.

What game apparently did not fit any of these clues? Alpha Mission 2.

What did I find instead while I was searching? Fantasy Zone, Battle Garegga, PLADZMA, Raptor: Call of The Shadows, Tyrian, Jets n Guns, Trouble Witches, Forgotten Worlds, Magical Chase, U.N. Squadron/Area 88, Ginga Force (This is a X360 game, I said Arcade).

I thought "NEO-GEO shmup" would've thrown it up instantly. It's considered one of the classics on the system.

Also, holy shit, Raptor: Call of The Shadows was one of the first games I'd ever played. That's some nostalgia. Mostly remember it for the death scene, but still.

I hate doing this, as I've already asked on Discord (thank you to those that helped) and on Twitter (no avail), but I've been in a major money pinch. I owed National Grid $800+ and was forced to pay that to get my power turned on, and on top of that I was already late on my rent so my next paycheck went all the way to that. This paycheck also has to go to rent, and I don't know if I'll be getting enough to cover for it. I have roughly $10 in my bank account (the money people helped me with on Discord went immediately to Spectrum to turn my service back on as they wanted all or nothing, and I already had to borrow money to cover the rest of it since Bandcamp took more out than I had realized). I wont be able to get a paycheck for myself until much later into September.

All that I'm asking is that you help me out a bit. Please head over to my Bandcamp and purchase some tunage. You don't need to listen to it, you don't even need to spend more than a dollar. I just need as much help as I can get to last me through this next month. Food is expensive after a while and I can only ask for outside help so much.

I don't like to beg but I'm kinda stuck in a situation where I don't know what to do and I'd rather ask the community I've been a part of for over a decade for help than try to figure things out with public assistance. As gross as it is to say, I'm desperate.

Since the topic is brought up again, I think I can say what's on my mind.

Hopefully people understand me when I say when I feel largely uncomfortable whenever somebody gets banned over words that were said. I know decisions have to be made, but I've always felt like one that never really wanted to be in a position of suspending/banning someone over political/religious beliefs, for the fear of being scrutinized harshly when the opposite political/religious belief goes unscathed.

With that said, I must admit that once BM got banned, I felt the hostility coming back to me. Are my beliefs compatible with BM's? Not really, but it feels like any instance where I'm in an online social group and unpopular dialogue is addressed nastily as a punishable offense, I begin to feel like I'm walking on eggshells. I said this before in a Discord server, to which I left about a month or two after the fact because I was one warning away from getting banned. I'm not going to justify the words I said over there, but if I had to choose between someone patiently explaining why I am incredibly wrong and someone placing me on time out for hate speech, for what reason would I choose the latter?

Recently the Madden shooting sparked a really bad take from one of our users in a Discord server. I tried my dead-level best to calmly talk through what he believed, while discouraging hostility from other users responding. A few of us explained why what he said was wrong, but I tried to make sure that he could still have a voice. It was challenging, but I felt good in working to improve his rationale.

Anyway, I just wanted to provide some food for thought. I just hate feeling uncomfortable in a place like this...Trying to sound cynical only seems to make things worse for me, so I feel I just want to have a better connection with the people I communicate with.

I'm pretty sure bm was banned for just being a fucking cunt, though him being a homophobe and now trying to pull this "religious martyr" bullshit obviously doesn't fucking help.
