Yeah, recent Internal Server Errors are caused by the MySQL server taking absolutely ages to return the queries back to the web server.
It seems like my host doesn't even know what the issue despite many tickets from me; though they keep throwing the blame on me about the queries being bad or whatever, then how come when I can run a replica of Zenius on my four year old computer with only 1gb RAM, it's completely fine? A bit funny isn't it?
I even disabled the site, which some of you may have noticed earlier today, to see if it was Zenius causing it. It turns out it was slow still, get this, it took the MySQL server a whole 120 seconds to show me a list of databases I had, seriously what the hell is up with that? With Zenius disabled and with all linked queries eliminated, it took two minutes just to show me the database and it's tables; You don't expect this from a well known host at all!
They have admitted in the latest ticket to me, there are "other issues" on the MySQL server, which confirms it might not be Zenius that's causing it.
I suggested them transferring me to another MySQL server, but they haven't agreed to it yet. So all I can say is bear with it for now, as my tickets are getting nowhere with DH.
If anyone is generous enough to host the MySQL database, please get in touch, but mind you, it needs to be at a decent speed and more reliable than what's been going on.

Another reason to stop using DreamHost. From what you're saying, I think you should consider switching to PowWeb. They are well known and have a good reputation, from what I read in an article. Check out their hosting package if you want to consider switching hosts.
EDIT: While we're on the topic of MySQL databases, with PowWeb you get 75.

Seems to be a trend. Every 6 hours I think, it dies for half an hour. It died today at 4pm and 10pm local time (just 30 minutes ago).
If people can help me log when it goes down and when it goes back up, I'll really appreciate it. I'm keeping a record on the first post.

I'm pissed at Dreamhost. This is the the third time to happen at this time, so the pattern is every 6 hours.

OMG, ZIV is down! How will I ever survive?!
Seriously just do something else for a while. I've never understood why people get irritated over occasional short downtime. Go play some game and check back later.

A site shouldn't have this much downtime when it's running smoothly.
And since each downtime I experience is approx 30 min, I watch some Eureka Seven in the meantime.

It doesn't bother me. Downtime is at 4:00 and 10:00, so I just adapt my schedule to avoid them.

Looks like they fixed it, though they tried to put the blame on me again on their latest ticket. Ah well, least it's fixed for now.

It happened one hour ago, that's why lol.
Bump: Requested move and they've moved the database to another server now. Let's hope this server is not as bad as the last one.

Looks like the problem hasn't gone away.
The new MySQL server is getting bombarded with tons queries too and makes everything all that much slower...

Has this ever happened in past years?
