So, how's everybody doing? Good I hope. Now let's get down to the matter at hand.

Prerequisites:
1. You must have a simfile category
If some one wants to work with you they have to see what you're capable of right?
2. You must be an active member of this site
By "active" I don't necessarily mean by posting everyday. If you visit the site on a regular basis then you're considered to be active.
Why have prerequisites? Simple really. It's to avoid any people that would volunteer and end up doing nothing or forgetting about it altogether.
Requirements:
1. S-Beginner - S-Heavy; Oni and Edit are optional
2. D-Light - D-Heavy; Oni and Edit are optional; don't know how to make Doubles charts? Learn; you're gonna have to learn at some point so might as well start now.
3. No gimmicks*; the song should lend itself to the difficulty and please, no joke simfiles.
Suggestions:
1. If you're going to do a "from nonstop megamix" simfile, it should be obvious that the Oni chart is a must and the rest are optional. See Ecstasy (midnight blue mix), Burnin' the Floor(Blue Fire Mix), Afronova (From Nonstop Megamix)
2. Try not to volunteer for something you won't be able to accomplish; you'll be making yourself look bad to the others working on the same simfile
3. Teamwork! There will be times where the partners will work individually, so make sure to set up a "checkpoint" to see what what's completed and to criticize the work so far.
4. KEEP THAT FREQUENCY CLEAR!!! Make sure you guys know how to contact each other when something comes up. Private Messaging is always an option but there are faster options.
5. Have fun and make friends while you're at it. That's the purpose behind this simfile category.

Suggestion:
Why not gather all simfile makers here and at least have them pick at least two or three of there created simfiles? then we compile all of them (create DDRish banners and backgrounds/videos) and compile them into one mix (just like DDR MAX 3 of nDDRo)..of course named as ZiV collaboration mix or any other suggested names for the mix?

1. I will most likely have no access to the Internet next week. Is this a problem?
2. What kind of songs do you want to use?
3. Should foot ratings be on the original scale or the X scale?

Well, I believe I'm collabing with Kyzentun on Never Gonna SigSig You Up, and I'm just finishing some graphics for you on our little collab.

Yes, Never Gonna SigSig you Up. It's not just a dream.
prince_je07: The reason why it's not just going to be existing simfiles is that most of the existing ones were done by a single person, not by multiple people working together.

As Kyzentun said, the category is only for simfiles in which more than one person has worked on from this site. Your suggestion can be taken as a whole new entire idea from mine. *hint-hint*Why not gather all simfile makers here and at least have them pick at least two or three of there created simfiles? then we compile all of them (create DDRish banners and backgrounds/videos) and compile them into one mix (just like DDR MAX 3 of nDDRo)..of course named as ZiV collaboration mix or any other suggested names for the mix?

1. Having no access to the internet will not be a problem. Of course if you're already working with someone and you know you won't have any form of access to the internet, make sure to tell your partner ahead of time before hand to prevent any confusion. If you're referring to this specific thread, PM me with any more suggestion you have or post them here before next week.2. What kind of songs do you want to use?
3. Should foot ratings be on the original scale or the X scale?
2. It doesn't matter what songs you guys use. That's up to the people working on the simfile.
3. hmm... this I'm not really sure about. I would say the old difficulty scale as that's what the majority is most familiar with. Mind you, I'm also thinking about the guests that come here for the simfiles and if they're not up to date with the news, they won't know that there's a new difficulty and assume that it's on the ITG scale.
Alright, another thing came up when it comes to uploading. How do you wanna go about this? My original thought was to give temporary access to the one with the highest User rating to the category so that they can upload the simfile. Another method is to give temporary access to the one with the most simfiles in their category as they know what they're doing. Which would be better? I'm opting for a combination of the two.
Updated first post to include the aforementioned list

For who gets access to the category, number of recently uploaded simfiles in their own category should be weighted more heavily than user rating.
Oh, and put next to my name on the list that I prefer to do doubles charts.

Done. I'm also assuming that if you post here that you're interested in this so don't be surprised to see your name on the list.
For the others on the list, I'm going to need for you guys to double-check if I got the information right.

Awesome. That should work out well.
Oh, and I'm working on
doubles for the original NGGYU, based on on91's chart, while waiting for NGSSYU singles to be passed to me to convert. I'm going for the same feel that Long Train Running has on the 16ths. If you don't know Long Train Running well, you should. (I mean the one on Extreme AC, not the one on Supernova AC)

I would participate, can do singles (ITG styled singles too) and graphics (my backgrounds are lame but I can try).
by the way, are ITG/MGD charts allowed? C:

Personally, I would say no, but again, its up to the people making the simfile to decide.
All I have to say is to not force the difficulty onto the song. If the song doesn't feel like a 10 footer, don't make it a 10 footer.

I'm talking about hands, mines, etc... not necessarily 100 steps per second.

Charts with lots of 16ths have their place. sometimes it's to follow the music, sometimes it's just to add a bit of spice. The ITG official expert charts are examples of following the music, Mandodo's charts on groovestats are examples of adding spice. Both approaches can lead to fun simfiles, for people with the skill to move at the required speed, and the stamina to maintain it where it isn't just spice.
I dislike mines, so I'll likely not put any in charts I make.
As for hands, I'll look for appropriate place to put them when stepping charts. I promise not to do any more at work, where I can't just hop on my pads and try them out.

Please don't ask me to create Graphics.
I'm up for anything else, though.
Except I won't be able to use the Internet on this computer until Friday or next Saturday.

1. No mines
2. No joke simfiles
anybody disagree?
Also, when it comes to uploading the simfiles, the person chosen to upload will be a temporary co-owner. This is to prevent anybody deleting or editing the other simfiles. If there's anything else that needs to uploaded/updated after the original upload, just send a PM to do so.
How's that sound?
Edit:
If you're referring to the ones that you make then sure! Just partner up with some one on the list and you'll be good to go.
