bemanifire's BEMANI experience

So yesterday, due to boredness, I went to the mall! (Yay.)

After doing a few things, I went into Fun Factory.

It seems they have a column totally dedicated to [mostly] BEMANI games XD.

I'll draw it out.




So first off...since DDR was taken...beatmania the final!

Oh well, I tried >_> (Hey, it was my first time ACTUALLY playing beatmania)

Then the person playing DDR was done...so DDR!

DDR machine
4 stages
Really lax grading system.
AA - Standard - A
Gamelan De Couple - Standard - A
Tomorrow Perfume - Standard - A
xenon - Standard - B
Yeah, the grading system is really lax. On xenon, it was so hard for me, I had a lot of DANGER! but still managed to pass...and it gave me a B...(I thought it was usually like C or D)

Then, drummania!
I actually played this 3 times...see why.

drummania - first time
I accidently chose NONSTOP instead of BEGINNER >_<; so I just chose RISE for all 4 stages. I did pretty decent, but I failed.

drummania - second time
Chose BEGINNER this time, kinda easy, did pretty good (don't remember the songs)

drummania - third time
Chose STANDARD/NORMAL, stayed on the lower 10s, did kinda good.

Then...I had to go...no Percussion master, because I played that so many times.

Yeah, just wanted to post this.

I used to visit an arcade that had Extreme (and added a SuperNOVA shortly after I moved), beatmania III 7th mix, Guitar Freaks (1st?) and Percussion Freaks. The Percussion Freaks was broken, though, and hardly anyone played Guitar Freaks. Aside from GF and DDR, none of them were close together like in your scenario.

Incidentally, that column alone has more Bemani than LR.

Well, I think the Bemanistyle forums has info on where IIDX machines are in the US.

Yeah, I've checked BemaniStyle.

There aren't that many interesting machines. The most recent machines I've ever found/seen are SuperNOVA and I think I've seen only 1 place with ITG2. The rest are all either EXTREME or random.

From looking at the locations there are practically NO IIDX machines. There's only like 1, and that's 9th style. And as the place where it's at, it's a place I'm probably not going to be heading to anytime soon. moar IIDX plz.

Dave and Busters would be a good place to put new DDR/beatmania machines, but they're too focused on PIU >_>;

I think the place is called Hawaiian Brians correct me if I'm wrong.
