This game is hard to find in Philly. I was in a Gamestop and decided to ask for it.
Dude said they didn't have it and the only place with a copy near here was in Cherry Hill.
I didn't think I was ever going to go there so I was like eh.
Lo and behold, I'm at Cherry Hill yesterday because my family wanted to shop at a mall under construction.
I talk to the Gamestop guy at the counter and he said he had ONE copy. Only problem is... it's deep in the depths of the bargain bin games.
I found it. Bought it for $9.99. Put it in the PS2.
Waited forever for the song list to show up. >.>
I heard the bad points of the game. Slow loading time, issues with timing, slow loading time, a mode that doesn't work at all, slow loading time, slow loading time, etc.
I'm playing through this and am having a hard time trying to unlock songs because of the slow loading times. That and I can't stand a good portion of the songlist.
I went through the courses. These aren't regular courses. A good majority of them have mods that activate at certain points in a song and serious screw you up.
I played the course rated a 13 footer, Breaking Point. It was Delirium
, Tell
, VerTex
, and HotN
.
I managed to make my way to the last song. The last song was under boomerang and some other option that made the arrows flip back on top of each other. I was PISSED. You have to memorize all 898 steps if you want to pass that thing. -_-
All in all, this game is good for nostalgia. It's going to give me something to do while I wait for DDR X.

Eh, the courses all have scripted modifiers, which is a total bitch if you suck at reading modifiers (like me
)
In regards to unlocking things, it's faster to just use the unlock code so you don't have to play a billion songs
The loading times aren't that bad, it's worse when you hack it and have 400 songs to load XD
I'm impressed you could play Delirium, Tell, VerTex, and Hardcore of the North though. I can't play any of those

*points to FD's controller* I bet that's what he used.
Anway, yeah, the marathons are there for when you know all the songs really well, and can thus mostly deal with the modifiers.
Plus, bragging rights for being one of the few to pass certain really hard marathons.
CyricZ made a walkthrough, with unlock codes, and put it on gamefaqs, so use that if you don't want to go through the normal unlock process.

I can't find God Hand. But when I do, I'm going to Dragon Kick people into the Milky Way.
It's what I used. I'm not going to brag about it. It's how I enjoy the songs I can't play.
I can only dream of passing stuff like that right now. Right now, I'm about to plug in my metal pad to play some of the really fancy charts on this game (BYM
, R&J
, etc.)
I JUST put in the unlock code and played some Pandy on the controller.
My hands just barely cranked out an 85% on
.
Getting ready to play Pandemonium
....
Edit: Finished. My right hand hurts. 81.33% D:

God Hand? Is this a song? Because if that's the case, you won't find it anywhere in that game.

It's a video game.
Not sure if you were joking but I'll address it.

actually I find the PS2 version of ITG (when synced) much better than ITG PC which NEVER felt right for me. stepcharts were bad, life difficulty and timing windows seemed different even though it's probably just a feeling. It did not even look that good as it could have looked. (ok PS2 version has really bad blue color tone chosen....)
