I feel I am not wanted here. I don't think I belong here, either.
Therefore, I am announcing my departure.
I don't make bad posts anymore; this is my last one. Yet, my rating continues to slowly decrease every day.
I may come back as a Guest, to check out the replies to this thread, but never as logged in as this name. And, depending on what guests are able to view, I may never be able to see my idea of User Status Messages carried out. It remains on Al's to-do list now. (Delete it if you want, Al).

Part of the problem is feeling the need to make goodbye threads.
Anyway. All that can be said is, don't give up. Ratings mean nothing, and whether you're -62 or +600, you have the same privileges as everyone else, so don't take it too personally. People get off to rough starts, but most are generally willing to forgive and forget after a while.

I usually see someone who makes these threads as someone who just wants to squeeze in a little extra attention before they quit. It somewhat grates on my nerves to see these threads, they are annoying. 
Take for instance how this guy seems to focus on how his rating is declining: a rating is just a number, it cannot define YOU. Maybe it shows the other users' general like (or dislike) for you, but it is not something so important that you should focus on it like some award or acheivement. To worry so deeply about your meaningless rating shows you are really just prideful in your appearance, and the creating of a goodbye thread only implies the same.
And it's annoying, anyway, so please resist from making these threads. As harsh as it sounds, it's the truth: noone really cares if someone relatively unknown leaves a forum. People certainly wouldn't miss me either. When LBS made some "Goodbye" post, and bawww'd about the community, he sounded whiney and people then disliked him further for that. Only if someone highly-renowned like Al2k4 (God forbid) or piepiepie left, would more than a few people actually care.

If I see someone do something stupid, like state the obvious or quote a 15-line post, I usually let it slide the first few times if they're new. If they continue, THEN I decrease the rating. Either they're an attention whore or they're not interested in contributing.

You have yet to learn that ratings matter less than Whose Line Is It Anyway's scoring system. Also, you seem to expect that everyone'd go from disliking you to the complete opposite overnight. This doesn't happen. Ever.
