In fact there's buttons for bold, italics and stuff on the side, can we just have buttons for everything? I didn't even know stuff like [center] and [table] existed until a while ago.

Well there's also [leftfloat][/leftfloat] to create columns.
You can use the following BBCode to make two equal spaced columns. If you don't specify a width out of 100, it will be auto fit.
[leftfloat width=50]<Left Column>[/leftfloat][leftfloat width=50]<Right Column>[/leftfloat]
You can do a lot more with it than that too.
