So it means there's no Extra Stage and OMES at sparkling shower then ?
Because every series since 7th have at least one extra stage and OMES. At very least, probably Spada and Heroic Verse (?) have extra stage song(s)

I wonder if Konmai still have commitment to be more serious to their franchise other than focusing so much to BPL thing. Seriously their content release timing have been messed up since BPL

I only really liked a couple of the initial 5 songs, but the location test footage is gonna be the true litmus test. Would be neat if some of the old guard returned as guest composers (a Slake or TaQ vs Setup/Seiryu song would go so hard), but at the very least, this is the first full IIDX where the Bemani Sound Team moniker is officially dead.

I’ve been wanting/needing SLAKE and TaQ back for years now. ZINRAI will definitely be live by next year, so I think it would be perfect if past in-house and commission artists (what I like to call the OG BEMANI Sound Team) could return with some contributions to help commemorate the 30th anniversary of BEMANI. If not for ZINRAI, then maybe for IIDX 36 since that would most likely be out in 2029 for IIDX’s 30th anniversary.

Man even KONAMI knew Sparkle Shower was a dud, this is probably the earliest they announced a IIDX mix in recent memory

But I'm also wondering Konmai's abilities to manage their franchise content since they're holding BPL again in only 3 months gap. Even at DDR, previous BPL crossovers don't get charts yet which is messing their timeline

Agreed. For IIDX, the last thing they did that was genuinely interesting for me was ARC SCORE back in Rootage. Since then, they basically kept repeating the same unlock/event formula over and over with new songs that are pretty formulaic overall, and the majority of the newer releases haven’t been doing anything to truly stand out. I won’t be surprised if ZINRAI ends up being another basic style with nothing special going for it, but hopefully there can be better music at least.

Sometimes the grindy unlock event lasts for the entire mix, and sometimes they do two grindy events that only last for half the mix each. :v

I think this time last year was the SS location test, so I think it's more just that time of year.

IIDX has been the ONE SERIES of BEMANI to NOT leave the yearly release schedule since its beginnings. DDR/Pop'n/GITADORA have left that era behind, DDR after Extreme, GITADORA after the XG series, and Pop'n after I think Sunny Park, might be earlier than that. Jubeat/Reflec beat/SDVX/etc all end up running 2-3 years on a version before the next version comes. Its time for IIDX to slow down and allow a version to exist for more than a year, like it looked like they were gonna do starting on Tricoro.

The last three links showing how lane adjust or speed lock kind of thing works. Almost similar to what dynamic sudden works (?)
