Religion Thread

I realize I am taking a HUGE risk by asking this, but I'll give it a try...

What are your religious views (if you have any)?

I'm hoping this can go on for a little bit before Al has to lock it down because of flaming.

...or it dies from a total lack of interest.

I have none, mostly because no religion wants me.

I'm christian btw, though I'm also a theistic evolutionist. Meaning, I accept the big bang, evolution, etc...but i believe a god caused it all.

I guess you could say I'm a catholic, but I really don't know much except that we believe in saints.
I honestly don't live my life by a religion, I use my morals.

I'm getting a hunch that user ratings will fluctuate again if this thread continues.

Possibly. I thought it was worth starting though, because most people here don't seem like people who would rate someone badly just for thinking differently than them. You never know though.

Wow, I was starting to think I was the only Atheist left. Also, I totally agree with you on respecting views; many of my friends are Catholic.

I believe that one or more deities created the universe and put life on some-odd number of planets, including our own, and decided to watch things take off from there. Everything after creation is science, with maybe a few of the more probable religious stories.

Anyways, I'm quite open minded about supernatural stuff and very intrigued by other religions.

Agnostic, don't believe in evolution because it's a stupid concept.

Agreed.

I think that recently, the whole idea of God has been getting a bad reputation because some of the loudest religious people are total idiots.

I'm an Atheist as well. I respect the beliefs of others, but I dislike when somebody is always talking about it.
