Did you guys use videos?

I have a lot of questions.
I am creating some personal simfiles, but I don't mind sharing them with others, even when those simfiles are aimed for no-bar players (i.e. easy mode)

First, how do you share your work?
I know we could ask for upload here, but what about some other places? I was thinking about blogspot, While it is not popular, but some people have put some simfiles in there, for example: pumpitupidstepmania.blogspot.com
I don't use facebook (I deleted my account), and I don't want to create a group or social stuff (such as telegram channel or stuff like that). As an adult, I don't have much time for this hobby and my spare time, I prefer to play it.

second, do you use videos?
I use outfox and it works fine for me. I added dancers and meh, I am not convinced, especially since I come from the PUMP IT UP world (i.e. the Dance Dance Revolution with Anime). But, do you people use videos?
I love to use videos, but many simfiles, including official ones, don't use videos, and creating videos on my own is out of discussion. Mainly, I use videos from YouTube but some simfiles don't have any videos or any other material.
Recently, I found that I could generate a video using AI. While it is not perfect, it is good enough. The trick is to generate a video that could loop. AFAIK, only LUMA does that:

1. i just post my files on here. sometimes i'll post on r/stepmania when i have a new pack completed. i also started posting random vids on youtube.

2. yes, i love including videos with my files. i love downloading files with videos. it shows the extra care and attention to detail for a file imo. especially in this day and age where storage is not that big of a deal (except of course following the upload limits on here). i dont use generative ai so no comments on that. i dont create anything myself though, i just cut down existing music videos for songs that have them. occasionally i'll include a fun video like a different game's gameplay or something like that. just depends.

1. I used to have a website where I promoted my simfiles, back when bemanistyle was a still a thing for StepMania files. For the past... 10 or so years, I've only posted my files here.

2. I like including videos whenever I can. Mostly official videos, but sometimes I add fanmade videos when they're well done.

1. While I've posted my files here from the beginning, I'm also hosting my "official" packs in git repositories as they contain extra files that can't be uploaded here. Also, I have a personal website that does link to all this stuff, but the simfiles aren't the primary focus of that site. Also also, I sometimes post random charts to my YouTube channel, but only whenever I feel like it lol.

2. Nowadays, I make sure that every file has a video. Music videos are always used wherever possible, but for the other songs that don't have one, I created my own PIU-inspired generic video that is shared among all of them.

please don't use generative AI to create content, I suggest downloading "generic" BGA sets (random assortment of pre-made clips that can be stitched together to make a video) & create your own script with them if that's something you know how to do

I just started making stepcharts and most of them I've included the official music videos for said songs. I was having an issue with getting the video to start at the same time as the song, but I figured it out. I needed to make the video files AVI files. MP4 files would start playing before the song did.

I hope to upload these to a site myself, but I also am new to the uploading stepchart scene.

how do you share your work?
At beginning of 2003/2004/2005 it was bemanistyle, then once bemanistyle got revamped/relocated servers and then C&D letter eventual shut down around 2006-2008 era?. I moved hosting files to freewebs.com website hosting site (it was free at first then bandwidth was so much then I had pay a freewebs lmao).
During those times 2009-2012? got a volunteer Pig2Cat to a dedicate server to host all of the simfiles packs of otakusdream mix along with its members and me, Jubo. That lasted pretty nice till bandwidth killed P2C generosity RIP.
then end around that time of 2012-13ish? then started hosting on dreamhost paid servers firstly from a member Nick then I took over like 2016-17?.
I started to do all that then I split host between otakusdream server and Google Drive then eventually year 2023 to my own website JuboSimfiles.com to finally do separate myself on otakusdream.
2019-2020? My simfile work onto database sheets and data inputting on Google Sheets. And simfile hosting Google Drive paid thru Google One sub.
Also MegaUploads/MultiUpload/Sendspace/Mediafire/FileUpload and Mega.nz along the years but that didn't last long since copyright take downs.

My chronologic order is not 100% correct but estimated lol. otakusdream is still alive to this day, jeez.

do you use videos?
Yes. Mandatory/Requirement Standards to make a simfile.

BG, BN and Jacket Video. Since I mainly do Anime or Japanese Related [Otaku] Simfiles
without it. well... It won't be good looking. Actually, with videos present enhances my incapable ability to photoshop well, haha.

1. I usually share my simfiles in some of the Discord server that I'm in (particularly the rhythm game server). And I usually promote my simfiles by posting on the social media (I used to use Twitter but after a certain "discourse", I ended up using bluesky as my primary social media instead)

2. I like to include the video for my simfiles. If the song has a MV, I usually put them to it. And for anime song, I usually use the creditless one if possible.
