Greetings to all.
First of all, I am not familiar with this game, I have not met it at all until now.
Now it so happened that I got an arcade game from Konami under the name Bemani. It was in pieces, I put it back together and it turned out that the Dell 740, the PC that was in it, had a dead motherboard. I got another computer, put the hard drive in and the video card that came with the original.
Now the machine boots up, running a Japanese XP, When it scan peripherials the message is COM4-BAD and 5-1513-0000 CARD UNIT ERROR.
It continues booting and the program starts. If I leave it like that it reboots after a few minutes and does the same thing. If I insert a coin I can choose a player, then music (it's true there are only two songs to select) and when I start the game the brown background comes on and freezes, stands still for a while and then restarts, or the brown background comes on and gives an error message in Japanese and then restart
If I press the test button instead of the game selection, the menu appears. I can enter all submenus. And if I don't exit to GAME MODE it will run for days without restarting.
As I wrote I don't know the machine and the game at all, but I suspect that the hard disk is damaged or someone has erased part of it.
I have read the forum but I am lost in it, and don't know what to do. Does the PC version need a CD like the PS version?
Maybe I should reinstall it, I just don't know which version and how.
Oh, I forgot to mention that at the moment the machine has no sound at all, the amp is a bit laggy but that's it. I connected the notebook to the amp and it sounds. It's little bit quiet but it sounds.
If someone can help me with this, I might be able to save a good machine
Here is a link to few photos and videos of machine and failure:

That's an interesting find! I haven't heard of a machine with only two songs on it. What are the two songs?
I hope you can repair your DDR X soon!

There are only two songs because you’re choosing the starter mode. It specifically filters songs for new players. Notice the folder names in the video are step 1, step 2, and so on. On the mode select screen where you picked starter you should pick the second option, that will have all the default songs and anything saved as unlocked for the machine if anything is unlocked.
But as far as I know you shouldn’t be able to just swap hardware around on a Bemani PC. It’s looking for specific hardware. You might be able to get everything going using the same tools you would use to run DDR X software on a modern PC but I don’t think we are allowed to discuss the specifics of that here.
