Less busy during the week, very busy on the weekend
🅿️Trade Street is cheap parking and not too far, just sketchy street tho

Unfortunately, the pricing has been increasing overtime whilst the condition isnt being fixed much, the bar staff are genuinely interested but not able to do the kind-of fixes needed nor able to change pricing, hopefully something comes about

🔴 - maimai FiNALE - the only maimai in Wales, pricing has doubled to 3 credits for 3 songs (previously 1/2 tokens for 4 songs), the cab has a lot of problems, check the page for the full list, soon to be "temporarily" removed for repairs

🟢 - Guitar Hero Arcade - 2 of em, one in a small room in the back, 2 credits per person for 1 song
+4 CREDITS FOR PREMIUM SONGS?!?

❌ - Euromix 1 - this gets the award for the worst condition cab ive ever had the pain of experiencing, the pads dont register a lot and u have to stomp hard to have it maybe register, outside sensors are more likely chance but still awful, at least the lights are working and volume is good


🟨Golf Fang [18+]
For the golf you need a booking, however i have asked and the staff said you can come in just for the arcade

🟡 - DDR A20+ - the best condition ddr in cardiff, it has the widescreen mod and its got a DS Fusion banner, p2 green button is stuck down so good luck picking mods
You will not be able to hear the music as the venue music is VERY loud compared to the cab, if you already know the song off memory should be ok lol


🟨Hollywood Bowl
Its Hollywood Bowl lol, price cannot be changed , the cabs accept card too
🅿️Free 6 hour parking (if you spent at least £6), enter your reg in at the desk - they may ask for you to prove you've spent enough (smx doesnt have tickets, so good luck!

🟡 - StepManiaX Deluxe - Online! 2nd SMX cab in Wales, volume is alright, unfortunately recently not doing as well with p1 getting a bit hit and miss for wild, p2 left and middle is a bit hit or miss so use extra force, p2 bar wobbly and a few imperfections, has been fixed up so runs pretty good now - £1 a song
^ The metal bracket thing connecting the pads in the middle is loose and will make a annoying noise for charts that involvement more than slight movement lol, i suggest putting a heavy object such as a bag on top of it to make it quiet.
^ Consider the Grand Pier SMX deluxe in Weston Super Mare if your around the general area and looking for SMX


✅Buzz Trampoline Park

Newly converted! 🟢 - DDR A3 - euromix 2 cab upgraded to a3 as of 15/05/2025, p1 left and right can be a bit odd sometimes but p2 is very good currently! £1 for 3 songs too , it is in a random trampoline park however you dont need to pay for trampoline to play at the arcade bit, place has been rebranded so arcade is new addition but older cabs



Barry Island:
Seaside town - they are usually open until 9pm, a few other non rhythm arcades

Not the best condition arcade and cabs but its alright for UK standards lol - Owned by same person as Stardust

🟢 - DDR A3 - This is the one at the top - VERY loud, Holds can drop on both pads sometimes, monitor upgrade, euromix2 cab converted to run a3

🟡 - DDR Euromix 2 - p1 is actually decent, p2 less so, if you hit with at least moderate force itd be alright, very quiet and screen may have problems

- DDR Euromix 1 - Japanese max cab running euromix 1, struggles on the idle video but works fine, not much to say, alright condition
🟢 - ^[updated]^ DDR A3 The japanese max cab has been updated - replaced with a borderless 55" monitor and now runs a3! It plays pretty alright, just holds are bit problematic, the better of the two a3 cabs


✅Stardust
Not much to say lol

🟢 - DDR A20+ - Only white cab in wales, its a few months old and still runs pretty good however may not be amazing condition for too long, the cab is right in front of the entrance for maximum crowd attraction if u want that lol,
Replaces the DDR X from a decade ago

ℹ️ The a20+ white cab was on a3 for a tiny bit of time, however the owners don't want to put it on a3 or online so that cab and the a3 cabs in Treasure Island will never be online



Swansea:

🟢 - DDR Euromix 1 - CARD ONLY, currently very good condition! custom art too, up arrow less sensitive, apart from that: if your around go try it, just note its EM1 so

Located inside the Trecco Bay caravan park but you dont need to be staying there to visit the arcades, burger king and bowling is merged with the arcade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also quite dark arcade, not open during winter, don't try walking in (woops o-o)
🅿️Parking nearby at Hi Tide is free during off-peak, paid during peak, park there and walk over as you'll need to be staying in the caravan park to park in Trecco Bay

🟡 - StepManiaX Deluxe - Online! 1st SMX cab in wales, not great condition, p1 is bad overall, p2 is playable but the middle is very hit and miss if u play lightly, u will need extra force for it. Volumes good at least lol - £2 for 2 songs


🟨Hi Tide
Generic sorta seaside arcade with quite a few games, upstairs has a bowling and the DS SuperNova
🅿️Free during off-peak, paid during peak

🟢 - Dancing Stage SuperNova - Located upstairs which is during peak times only (it seems), it doesnt seem to be available for the winter and such (which sucks), it has a weird 16:9 monitor replacement that is quite far in, p1 is bad but p2 is pretty good, just play with average amount of force and its very playable. £1 for 3 songs!! very worth

ℹ️ Sometimes the DS SN1 cab is turned off or upstairs is closed off, cant seem to figure out why or when specifically, if you want to try possibly go for a peak time for best chance of it being available



Newport:

Consultation for a Free Play arcade has started where an arcade is planned at
1 - 3 Chartist Tower Upper Dock Street Newport South Wales NP20 1DX
with the planning documents here, the planning permits do include a rhythm game cab, unsure which it is though, could be likely either pump it up or stepmaniax
smx likely as its in other locations

dont get your hopes up too high! as other locations for this freeplay arcade only have £13.50 for 1 hour as the only option so might not be worth it, this arcade doesnt exist yet but its here anyway

🟡 - DDR x2 - Max code unlocked! p1 is bad but p2 is pretty good but just need more force on up arrow, timings are broken so you have to hit later than usual, for a raw thrills cab its pretty good

Big arcade on the seafront area

Not tried the cab but not recommended
❓ - DDR Euromix 1 - I wasn't able to try it but did see it lol, apparently bad condition

There is also a reported Supernova here however last updated 8 years ago and I wasnt able to check, apparently bad condition anyway

Most of the cabs have been removed, apparently there is a DDR euromix in Pencnwc Holiday Park in good condition
(i dont think ill book a trip there just to check lol)

Used to be a Euromix 1 in Tenby, this i can confirm seeing long before i was a rhythm game nerd however the arcade area at the pub it was at has been removed! :C
There was also apparently SuperNova in Milford Haven but these are long gone

Heavily doubt, the arcade they were reported at was demolished years ago, they *might* have been moved to the other arcade in the park that is still there but i don't think so (which is why it's put as unknown)

Oh I see. It's just that I posted a request a few months back but no one replied. I'm looking for a course list of the arcade version of Dancing Stage Fusion. Maybe someone in UK could help out. I've asked in reddit and discord but no dice. Remywiki doesn't have it either.

Any news on the DDR A20 Plus cab down Barry Island? It's still running DDR A20 Plus on an old 2022 build. Any news on whether or not the white cab will be updated at all? I spoke to a couple of people on this forum and they told me that the owner plans on updating it this year. However, I haven't seen any updates to the white cab however the A3 cab looks to be fixed up and the sound is a lot better.

nothing public has been planned anytime soon

Just tried the brand new A3 cab. It's 2 songs instead of 3.

Also for the bants I got a B on Max 300 on Beginner at 1.5x speed with the scroll on reverse.

The condition is not too bad. Not 100% perfect as holds are a bit flaky with harder songs or it might just be me missing them loool.
