Wales Rhythm arcades thread

For the about 5 people in wales or visiting wales looking for rhythm games, heres a bit of a guide ish for the arcades with rhythm games here and some recommendations for the ones i have been to

South Wales
Cardiff:

NQ64 [18+]
£8.50 for 15 tokens - £1.12 = 1 credit
Recommended for maimai
- maimai FiNALE - the only maimai in Wales
- Guitar Hero Arcade - 2 of em, one in a small room in the back
- Euromix 1 - not great condition so not worth going out the way for

Golf Fang [18+]
Recommended for DDR
For the golf you need a booking, however i have asked and the staff said you can come in just for the arcade
- DDR A20+ - the best condition ddr in cardiff, it has the widescreen mod and its got a DS Fusion banner

Hollywood Bowl
Its Hollywood Bowl lol, I have asked and they cannot turn up the volume of cabs, the cabs accept card too
Not recommended cuz £1 a song but if you want to try SMX not many options
- StepManiaX Deluxe - Online! 2nd SMX cab in Wales, volume is now great!, its alright condition, bars bit wobbly and a few imperfections - £1 a song



Barry Island:
Seaside town - often local DDR meetups here, they are usually open until 9pm, a few other non rhythm arcades

Treasure Island
Not the best condition arcade and cabs but its alright for UK standards lol - Owned by same person as Stardust
Recommended for a3 DDR
- DDR A3 - VERY loud, Holds can drop on both pads sometimes, monitor upgrade, euromix2 cab converted to run a3
- DDR Euromix 2 - Bad cab, shakes a lot, screen struggling a lot, inputs can be not great, highly not recommended
- DDR Euromix 1 - Japanese max cab running euromix 1, struggles on the idle video but works fine, not much to say, alright condition

Stardust
Not much to say lol
Recommended for (so far) good condition white cab DDR
- DDR A20+ - Only white cab in wales, its a few months old and still runs amazingly however may not be amazing condition for too long, the cab is right in front of the entrance for maximum crowd attraction if u want that lol



Porthcawl:
Small-ish seaside town

Funtasia
Located inside the Trecco Bay caravan park but you dont need to be staying there to visit the arcades, burger king and bowling is merged with the arcade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also quite dark arcade
Not recommended but if you want to try SMX not many options
- StepManiaX Deluxe - Online! 1st SMX cab in wales, not great condition, after a few months its already got not great, you will need quite a bit of force with harder maps being quite hard to do, also a "down a clown" machine will keep making noises every so often behind you while playing - £2 for 2 songs



North Wales
Rhyl:

Fun Factory
In a kinda sketchy area lol
Recommended for DDR
- DDR x2 - Max code unlocked! p1 is bad but p2 is pretty good but just need more force on up arrow, timings are broken so you have to hit later than usual, for a raw thrills cab its pretty good

Monte Carlo Amusements
Big arcade on the seafront area
Not tried the cab but not recommended
- DDR Euromix 1 - I wasn't able to try it but did see it lol, apparently bad condition


There is also a reported supernova here however last updated 8 years ago and I wasnt able to check, apparently bad condition anyway



Talacre: (east of Rhyl)

Leisure Land Talacre
Not visited but recommended
- DDR SuperNova 1 - Havent looked here but apparently very good supernova cab, if you know lemme know lol



West Wales
Most of the cabs have been removed, apparently there is a DDR euromix in Pencnwc Holiday Park in good condition
(i dont think ill book a trip there just to check lol)

Used to be a euromix in Tenby and SuperNova in Milford Haven but these are long gone
