Last Update: 2008-06-08, 22:58 GMT+1
Hey people,
This is for an upcoming SN pack (with 300+ songs) I'm gonna release and I want it to be as AC accurate as possible.

I need someone to get me either:
A video with the song list of the entire SuperNOVA1 or SuperNOVA2 song list so that you can see the song title and artists CLEARLY.
Notice I emphasised CLEARLY, so make sure you can read all the song titles before uploading it to YouTube or whatever as I don't want to make guesses at the spelling.
OR
A typed song list with the ABSOLUTE spelling of the song titles and names.
What I mean by that is I want titles and artists of how it's spelt in the game, for example:
LOVE AT FIRSTSIGHT(TwinMasterplan Mix)
Notice how the words are stuck together.
Any help would be appreciated, as UK arcades seem to be arch-enemies with people with camcorders and throw people out who record footage.

Depends on your arcade if that's what you mean.
And phone recordings? Are you sure they'll be clear enough to make out all the spaces and capitalisations and stuff?

You mean the Game Database doesn't have 100% accuracy, or you want to double-check it? o.o
Good to see I'm not the only one with this in mind, though. My SN1/SN2/4th+ folders are already arcade-accurate, and I moved the files in from the other folders to remove duplicates. (SN1 is split into five folders: crossovers, Extreme, home versions, licenses and new KOs. SN2 has everything that wasn't in SN1). On the other hand, since it's my own files I've added in extra charts, like from Ultramix, and cool ones from 5th Mix Data Bank.

Umm.
By syncing, do you mean you are going to correct some errors in the charts? There are some that are missing arrows, miscellaneous freeze arrow, etc.
Like FELM Expert Doubles are missing 32nd gallops (I'm guessing you used SN's edit mode; it doesn't show 32nd arrows for some reason)
FAXX Challenge is missing one arrow. It's like finding a needle in a haystack, that one.
CHAOS is missing a pair of stops that throw off the entire step chart, giving it the orange note syndrome, rather than the yellow note syndrome that the original has.
If I'm pointing out the obvious, I apologize.

Technically, CHAOS goes green for most of it, on the console, so orange (32nd?) note syndrome in SM would be correct, giving a completely laughable effect when played with CUT. Might be useful to make a video of it scrolling by at x8, so that you can see how many 32nds apart the notes are. I could do this if needed.
Oh, and yeah, edit mode is NOT a valid source for anything that goes green, just look at what it does to Bag. Training mode is better, with a video of a high speed mod play for the thickly clustered parts.

MP3s are completely redone in 192kbps, so of course that needs re-syncing.
Charts are from actual AC data and converting using Sanxion's tools, I can get 100% accurate files.

Not really.
CHAOS only goes green after the 2 jump stops. It's yellow for most of the beginning and if you go to training mode, the moment the song starts, it's not moving. Then it moves for like 1/2 a measure and stops again. After that, you'll get the stop that shows the arrows and THEN you start stepping.
You should do that video to prove me wrong (or right) and help with getting the two unnecessary stops in the beginning for "authentic" purposes. ;)
Edit: o_O? So the home version is "wrong"?

Okay, so I was wrong to say "mostly" green. If al2k4 can get actual AC data though, there's no point in doing the video. I dislike CHAOS, so I rarely play it.

I have played CHAOS OMES a ton, and I'm pretty sure it does stop at the beginning and then start up right when the first bass sounds in the music start. I've noticed that the judgement field doesn't blink at all, then it starts blinking when that first bass sound hits.
And what is Al using to interpret this AC data? An emulator? Hex editor?
Also, torrent plz!

The current CHAOS simfile is mostly correct. The main thing it lacks are the two stops at the beginning. But, I've fought with it enough to know that it at least is representative of the actual song in terms of what must be stepped and when. I remember the rush to sim that song when it first came out. What a nightmare. >_> I'm done editing that beast.
While this is for SuperNOVA, I've also noticed that on SuperNOVA2, SUNRISE (JASON NEVINS REMIX) the second stop is an 8th too early. It is, however, the same length, so the song is still off an entire 8th. Just noticed this the other day.

Still need that SN songlist video? I could go take a good quality one with all 304(?) songs, and quickly record the beginning of CHAOS for clarity, and have it uploaded in about 3 hours.
Then embed the YT video with the &fmt=18 quality setting.

CHAOS does have two stops before any arrows come up. I double-checked using SN US to make sure.
EDIT: For the songs originally from the Ultramixes (i.e.: GORGEOUS 2012, Monkey Punk), will you include the charts as they appeared in SN AC, or the originals as they appeared in (using the examples above) Festival or Ultramix 2?
As far as I can tell, GORGEOUS 2012 has completely different steps in SN AC from either Ultramix or Festival, which led to me asking this question.

It's been for 4 hours and it's still not done uploading... it's 191 MB and uploading through a wireless connection directly off an SD card, so that's probably why. I can probably embed the video tomorrow.
By the way Al, how come [EMBED] tags don't work? Trying to post anything that uses an [EMBED] and [/EMBED] tag (properly) makes it say "invalid [EM] or [/EM] tags", and the post doesn't get uploaded. (hitting back to go back to my reply page also ersases the contents I was about to post ARGHDSFARGEG) I have to use an [OBJECT] tag, which is like 10 times harder to use.
