Worst video game of all time

What do you believe is the worst video game of all time?

I believe its Superman 64 for N64, that game was horrible

I havent played it myself, but from what i've seen in videos, I'd say that E.T. for Atari 2600 is probably the worst video game of all time.

"E.T. was a contributing factor to Atari's massive financial losses during 1983 and 1984, and a glut of unsold copies of the game helped contribute to the video game crash of 1983. As a result of overproduction, hundreds of thousands of unsold cartridges were reportedly buried in a New Mexican landfill."

The worst video game i've actually played though is probably altered beast for sega genesis. The voice at the beginning sounds just like elmer fudd

I think one of the worst is probably the shitty Aquaman game for N64. Bleh, it was worse than Superman.

On another note, another game that is ridiculous is Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. Its an absolutely amazing game... its just so HARD. I don't think I ever made it past Level 2.

The worst I've actually played is Backyard Wrestling. That was plain awful...

As for reviews, I've seen a game get rated -25%. That game was Power Rangers : Lightspeed Rescue for the N64 (I refer to it as Shite-speed Rescue, cos I'm cool like that).

The worst game I've ever played was Clay Fighter 63 1/3 for the N64. It was even more disappointing for me because I was such a huge fan of Clay Fighter before that game came out. The fact that Nintendo Power was hyping the crap out of the game a few months before it released didn't help.

I actually own SuperMan 64... my dad got it for me for some special occasion sometime when I was around 8 or so. At the time, I was very niave, and didn't know the difference between awesomeness (Super Mario All Stars) and utter crap games like SuperMan64. The reviews for this game on GameFAQs are quite amusing to read, though. I remember that I couldn't beat level 2 for years, and when I finally did, I got stuck on trying level 6. I came back to it and beat everything up to the last level when I was an early teen, but I had the game freeze or have SuperMan fall through the ground whenever I played it. I eventually beat it, and never played it again seriously. I play it occaisionally to prove my friends that I have a game that's worse than anything they ever could have conjured up in their imaginations.

I played E.T. on an Atari emulator, and it was indeed WAY worse than SuperMan 64, though. I actually wanted to play it to see just how bad it could possibly be, without the intent of actually enjoying the content, and I STILL didn't enjoy even seeing how utterly awful it was. Good times.

The worst gameboy game I've ever owned was some Winnie-the-Pooh game for GBC, a friend of ours who was 5 or 6 gave it to us. I just didn't enjoy it simply because it was aimed at little kids anyway. I took it to Rhino's, and they bought the game off of me for $8! I even asked them if that was a mistake, but they said it was true. Neat.

Superman 64 is on there... But only in the N64 game area.

I tried playing Avatar on XBOX 360 recently (for achievements), and I got them in less then 3 minutes. So then Me and my friends decided to look threw the rest of the game. That game was definitly not finished. THE PEOPLES MOUTHS DID NOT MOVE! We could not tell who was talking ever, and the actual fighting was just pressing B as fast as you can, and getting hit hundreds of ties without ever getting really hurt, and the puzzles were lame. That is one game I never want to see again.

oh and Gundam for PS3 was unplayable, thats on there too.

World Racing for the NGC is buggy to hell, too. Seriously, you can plough through a tree, yet get stopped by a tiny curb. And also, if you don't take a certain corner the exact way the programmers want you to, you fall through the floor.

There are quite a few awful games out there, SuperMan 64 being the worst game I own. I played on an ITG2 crap-o-cab once with a faded marquee, FADED ARROWS on the pad, and a DDR Extreme pad with arrows that required some 50-60 lbs of weight to activate, and still wouldn't do so unless you stepped right in the middle of the arrow. Here's the worst part: pressing left+right then the select button all at once (to backtrack through the options) froze the game! I lost several credits like that. Never going to play on that machine again.

But hey, it's not the WORST game, I as well as many other people would probably love to own an ITG2 crap-o-cab, what with renovation possibilities.

There's a PIU in my area on which the 2P arrows are stuck and the machine is turned off most of the time. Even that sounds great compared to what you've described.
