I want to start by clarifying that I'm not requesting people send the necessary files, I'm just interested if anyone else has tried installing the DLC packs for Ultramix 1 specifically on an RGH Xbox 360 with the compatibility files.
I'm asking because I've been able to install the Ultramix 2-4 DLC packs with no issue, but Ultramix 1 specifically causes me issues.
The impression I've gotten is that this isn't possible, possibly due to compatibility issues between the DLC and the 360, but if someone else has managed it, I'd love to know.
Thanks for any help.
Edit:
I've actually found the solution, for anyone else that might need it:
Copying the CDXMedia folder from within either the DDRU1 or DSU1 folders and replacing the one in the root installer folder will load up the individual song list instead, and the DLC can be correctly installed on 360 this way. I've only tested DDRU1, but I assume DSU1 will work the same way (you'd have to copy over either one at a time).
I suspected that the 360 was having issues with the DLC for DDRU1/DSU1 being "double layered"; the installer appears to load another installer depending on if you choose the DDRU1 or DSU1 song packs, and that causes the compatibility error. Because the actual content set up is the same as the later game DLC's, I tried moving some of the files around a bit to see if I could force the installer to load the "sub-installer" file list first instead, skipping the pack layer entirely.
It's pretty neat playing Ultramix 4 with all the DLC installed.
