I'm too scared to talk here out of fear that I'll be necroposting and get banned I'm still new to forum sites (despite this account being 4 years old) and I'm bad at this kind of stuff also does it apply to for fun topics or does it not?

as long as the post is relevant to the thread and not a bunch of bs you should be fine
it also depends on the type of thread (eg necroposting a thread of a forum game or of an outdated rhythm game installment is probably a bad idea)
if you're talking about the drawing thread you should be fine, don't worry about it

Phew! Thanks so much!
I think once I got warned for necroposting and I got worried so glad to know it's not that strict

Oh, I forgot to ask, what qualifies as bs?

Posting on an old thread with a reaction like, "wow, this is cool!", making a baseline remark, or saying something that does not relate to a topic (this includes spam), qualifies as "bullshit" and would not be acceptable. Avoid making those kinds of posts, period.
If you have nothing to add, but you're looking for an update on a topic that hasn't been addressed in years, and there's no other thread or outside source that gives you what you're looking for, making a post asking a question if there's any new information would be okay. Though, you may be better off making a new thread entirely asking for support.
The best reason to bump old threads is if you actually do have something to add.
For example, I bumped (and unlocked, using Moderator privileges), an ancient thread dating back to May 9, 2009 about a fake Zelda game that looked convincingly real. My post there was featured on a video by Did You Know Gaming, and I had to share it on the same thread.

Oh, okay, thanks! But what's a baseline remark?

Sorry. Although English is my first language, I have difficulties with certain sayings (like "taking it with a grain of salt" which I didn't know what it meant until recently) and the definitions of certain words. I don't want to go into detail since it's personal information that shouldn't be shared online, but please be patient
