I don't know where to post this kinda shit so I posted it here given DDR is a BEMANI franchise.
The pad in concern is a near replica of a dance stage as seen on every DDR cabinet ever.
I know that I'll need a PlayStation/PS2 controller for this project, considering that the pad was mainly intended for use on my imported PS1 and PS2, but what type of circuit board do I use for soldering in the wires?
Do you suggest a circuit board used for soft pads or a board used for your typical PlayStation/PS2 controller?

I'm so glad you could help!!
As much as I love a good exercise from playing Dance Dance Revolution, especially because I want to lose weight while playing video games, I hate having dance pads that don't work properly. Three of them are busted and one of them has a broken down arrow that won't budge if I have my foot on another arrow.
