Using the "deluxe" style of dance pad for my PC that unzips and comes with a soft foam sheet. (I replaced the foam with a harder exercise mat that worked much better) After 6 or 12 months of successful no bar play, I am just now getting the issue that it stops registering taps after 15-60 seconds of playing a song.
- Issue persists on all of my PC's
- On multiple versions of Stepmania
- Even through a restart.
I entered the test input and it says these keys are depressed even when I am not on the pad.

Is it an easy fix or does this pad just have a very short life cycle?
Edit: disregard. The real issue is that my USB was being pulled too darn tight, and it worked better when I gave it enough slack. This is now a PSA for ethical treatment of USB cords. Don't put em under too much stress.
