The arcade scene in America isn't what it is in Japan... arcades are highly integrated into their culture and pretty much all games go over well there; Japanese people are also persistent and work hard at becoming good at those games (as much of a waste of time they admittedly are). The average American teen is a mediocre gamer who would prefer 20 first-person shooters on their home console where they only rank best among their closed social group of buddies, over unique arcade games that they have to go out of their way to play, pay for every credit, deal with the steep learning curve due to its being a new concept, and never being the very best at.

If Betson hasn't decided to release it yet, this might be why.

Maybe KONAMI can make a special Beginner mode for North America and Europe that's really easy to just below where the difficulty starts at for the easiest mode in the game. It would attract more casual players then.

I don't know? After DJ Troopers was announced, I took it that a US GOLD was not happing.

ok, I just want to point out they have not said "it is not coming out". Konami, may actually be waiting, because I asked the mod on the Koanmi forums, and he told me the same thing, "we have not said it was not coming out".

Also talked to Ryan during Zukin Wars One, he also said that I had to wait for a answer to the question "where is gold"

That's the kind of responses I get here in the UK too. They keep saying they haven't "ruled it out" but I really doubt it's happening. Just what are they waiting for!? I wish they could say more than that. >_>

At this point, they might as well give us DJ Troopers or the next mix. BTW is it about time we herd something about Beatmania 16?
