I think it’s really strange that it won’t have Banapass support
Where was this said?
Someone said on Twitter, was about to pull up the post in question but it got deleted. Hopefully that means it’s incorrect

Not true. Namco said in the tournament video that it will have IC card support and function just like the Japanese version, with all Asian content untouched.

Well that’s a relief then, especially since the location tests apparently didn’t have them. I’m excited now

I didn't know we're get English Taiko no Tatsujin soon! You know, this reminds of a time I saw an English Taiko no Tatsujin machine in the Mitsuwa in Torrance, California. I'm pretty sure that might've been a test location too, since it's no longer there. I hope we get a test location in California, specifically in Round1 PHM/LWM. First we get a MaiMai test location, now Taiko no Tatsujin, hopefully we'll Chunithm, and maybe even Ongeki and (this is real wishful thinking but) AIKATSU!

So it’s November now, any word on when we might start seeing cabinets appear? Because I might need to make a Round 1 trip soon

According to OMG KON, a Bamco representative mentioned Taiko is now releasing in Q1 2025. I wonder what caused the delay?
Anyways, it's at IAPPA right now if anyone wants to play... And yes, there's also a Don-chan kiddie ride. XD

And what I've said before in the thread is officially confirmed. BannaPass support built-in (I'm assuming it's Amuse IC compatible), firmware is seemingly based off of Asia/Oceania, based on there being an ad for a public song vote campaign,

Update: Apparently they're already shipping out???
I guess the Q1 2025 date is coming from the speed of the machines being sent to arcades. I'm assuming Round1's going to be one of the first arcades to receive them.

Seems like they’re Round 1 exclusive until January from what I’ve seen so far. Anyone know if the Crystal Run Galleria or Danbury Fair locations have them yet?

I was at DFM today, and while the cabinets weren't there, they have rearranged the spots where the air hockey tables were to near the bowling alley, and a guy was vacuuming the spots where they were. Could be set up by this week, given they'll need to run the ethernet to the one or two they plan on putting in, given the large space they have open.

Went to the R1 in Temecula to try out the new Taiko game (because Moreno Valley doesn't have the game yet.... I hope... X_X), and first impressions I have are it's pretty fun!
It wasn't quite perfect, because the sensors were under and oversensitive (the 1P drum's left rim didn't even work), but I was able to play a few rounds on both cabs. Apparently this is common for new cabs, from what I've read on FB, so hopefully it's just a matter of either replacing the sensors or modding them a la what some locations do with the DDR pads.
Still, it's really nice to have an online, modern version of Taiko, and I'm willing to bet it's going to be just as popular as Sound Voltex, over the next year!
And in case anyone is wondering, the card reader is Amuse IC compatible, so if you have a modern eAmuse card, you don't need to shell out money for a Bamco Passport card!
