Just wanted to say THANK YOU. This is really cool work you did.

Does anyone know if there is a good tool out there for upscaling these really tiny movie files to something that won't look terrible on an HD screen? I tried two I found on Github, but something about these files (maybe their encoding) was throwing tons of errors in the program.

I'm going through and adding the BG Scripts in this list to the current ZiV sm files. I will post any issues or anomalies I encounter here:

One such issue is, I do not see any reference to YOUR LOVE from DDR 4th Mix PLUS on the Excel log.

In 3.9, the videos will loop regardless if it's 0 or 1, making it pointless. However, this isn't the case for all versions of Stepmania.

Considering that 3.9 is widely used for script making, we tend to ignore the loop. You'll either stick with 3.9 or change every loop to 1 manually.
I want to "fix" this so they play right on legacy and modern Stepmania builds. What is the "looping number". Is it the first digit after the playback speed?

Example: 140.750=MAX-EXTREME/fish2.avi=1.5=0=1=1,

I also suggest adding a header at the top of this list that denotes what the different color coding means. For instance, I saw that Never Let You Down in 4th Mix PLUS has two rows. One created by Scrap Rabbit and the other by CuzcoBlocko. Both are listed as "official", which makes me wonder what the differences are between the two versions. If they are both official, but from two different mixes, then perhaps another column callout is appropriate to identify what mix this BG script is emulating.

The one Scrap Rabbit put down is from DDRMAX USA, which is just a slightly off-sync transplanted script from MY SWEET DARLIN' from the arcade release.

The one I put down is from Euromix 2, where it has an original script (an exact set of five videos that never get used together anywhere else), rotation5, kaliedoscope13, disco4, light2, and amoeba4. I did put down "Official (Euromix 2) for mine but I can see how it'd be better to have them all marked.

Thanks for your response. I gave a bad example, because in the one listed, if I extend the column view a bit, I can see it lists which mix they're emulating. However, there are many songs where the row is colored green, yet I cannot understand why. Does green = your BG scripts (CuzcoBlocko)? That's my best guess. I'm just not sure why they would be colored green on this list.

Sort of. If they're green, it means they're just about a perfect match with how it appears in game, and I'm usually the one that nails this. Many of the scripts that aren't green sometimes have slight inaccuracies. The unchanged ollec2004 scripts are especially problematic: Either the videos aren't playing at the correct speed, aren't using a correct cut/reverse, or sometimes a video is flat-out missing/substituted. There is also the crisis pointed out by a few people now, that many scripts have videos set to "not loop" that is a big problem for newer StepMania builds (it wasn't for older ones). I meant to do a lot more but I lost interest in DDR for a while. Maybe I'll get back to it soon.

I read about that loop issue. Which variable is it that needs to be changed? Is it the first one in the example below?

Example: 140.750=MAX-EXTREME/fish2.avi=1.5=0=1=1,

(Edit) Nevermind, I saw your previous post. In the above example, I suppose it's the last number. Should this be set to 1 to make sure it loops properly? Or, is this on a case-by-case basis?

Yes, loop is the last zero. The first is fade and the second is rewind.

In your opinion, should all the BG callouts that end in 0 instead be 1 (loop)? Or, is there a reason some are listed as 0 and others as 1?

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if the majority of the scripts would benefit from a blanket correction to make all callouts end with 1, or if it's better to leave it as-is, where 0 and 1 are used here-and-there in scripts throughout multiple song BGScripts.

Does that make sense? Sorry if I'm being confusing.

I think all of them should be "1" for looping, and if you really need it to not loop, instead place a BGchange with the same movie (no rewind) having a speed of 0. ...or 0.001. Example:

140.750=MAX-EXTREME/fish2.avi=1.5=0=1=1,
144.750=MAX-EXTREME/fish2.avi=0=0=0=1,

This is just to ensure maximum compatibility with as many StepMania versions as possible because 3.9 doesn't recognize the looping number, but newer versions do.

Thanks for the response.

One more question; On the spreadshet, you (CuzcoBlocko) had made some scripts for SuperNOVA, but they required a custom download. That link is now dead. Do you have an updated link to these videos?
