Hey wassup. So I was browsing mercari.jp a while back and I came across this thing. It's a DanceDanceRevolution music box that plays one of three licensed songs from DanceDanceRevolution (2010) on the Wii: Hey, Soul Sister, Bad Romance, or Celebration. I don't know which version I have yet as I don't want to unbox it yet but I haven't seen anyone review this before so I'm posting about it here.

It's a legitimate Konami product. It was supposed to promote the DDR PS3 version in Japan, before the game was canceled. I have one of these music boxes, but like the OP, haven't opened it.

Are there any other pictures of the box? (Other sides?) Also, are those screenshots of the canceled game?

I didn't know the PS3 relelase of DDR was canceled in Japan, that's interesting. I want to open mine, but it seems like a rare item lol.

Again I found it interesting that this music box only released in Japan plays American licenses. Also, I'm pretty sure the cancelled Japanese DDR PS3 release would have been the same one we got in the US and Europe. Here's the RemyWiki link: https://remywiki.com/CS_DDR_PS3

I can't imagine that many. This was the first one I saw ever, and there's not much documentation about them online. You can find BEMANI pockets easier than this thing.

A vague guess but I could wager only a few hundred exist and it was created as some promotional giveaway for an in-person event.

Really, that could sell for only a few quid in the UK.
