Taito's Maimai/Wacca/Chrono Circle clone. 8I
https://musicdiver.jp/
This looks to be leaning towards being a Chrono knockoff from the looks of the note types.

Now we just need Konami to jump in this trend of making Maimai clones
In all seriousness this looks more like a Wacca clone with some Chrono Circle elements to me
Cant wait to play it if there's a location test in the Philippines

The website doesn't show it but you play this game with drumsticks.

I don't imagine that going well. I can see a lot of people hitting the screen by accident

You're supposed to hit the screen as well. Weird looking game overall.

Weird looking game overall.
This is the first time hearing about this and I seriously want to know who thought of this.
if i can just use my hands and not the drumsticks then it will be less weird and fun to play. I feel like using drumsticks makes it feel more weird that it already is.

I would've talked about this earlier, but I was without internet for two days. ANYWAYS, the game has been sighted in at least one R1 location, already! (Burbank, specifically. Don't know if they're at any other locations, at the moment.)

Ah, so this is why they moved the Dancerush and Valkyrie cab that sat in that spot last week.

Just played the game, and I'm hoping it eventually gets an English translation soon; otherwise, this might be another Wacca-type game where most people might not give it a chance and be intimidated. I accidentally went into the chart creator, the first time tried getting around the menus, but the 2nd time was a little smoother.
I remember seeing a video on Twitter of a guy using his hands instead of the drumsticks to play (update: Found it! https://twitter.com/_S_E_I_R_O_/status/1598228271300509697), so I gave that a try, myself, and it kinda works! The only problem with playing that way is that you can't really get consistent input on either the outer notes or the touchscreen ones. The weird part about the latter, is that I don't think it's a traditional touchscreen, because it misfires at times when I'm going through menus, so I think maybe there are hidden sensors as you're reaching to the screen.
I'll play it the "right" way, next time I'm down there (my location is one of those places where you have to get the drumsticks at the counter, thanks to them constantly being stolen), but it works very similarly to Wacca, right down to having a "premium" mode for giving 3 credits to the machine.

The game has an english translation as well as spanish, it just needs to be enabled in the test menu. It probably was forgotten about by a tech setting it up.
