Deleting Posts~

I think you should be able to delete your posts because you might accidentally post something in the wrong thread x.x~

I think deleting a thread should only be an option if nobody has posted in it.

A confirmation window (in case one accidentally clicks Delete) would also be nice.

I have a question. If you delete a post dose your post count go down? Or if your deleting a thread, do all the people who posed on the thread's post count go down as well?

All post counts are LIVE. Once deleted, of course every post in that thread would be included.

I think it's very easy to avoid clicking the Delete button anyway. I haven't cocked it up and hit it by accident yet. XD

But it counts towards your post count. That should send the message to delete it, though.

No, I'd just go find old posts, and delete one old post for every new post, since the post count is how many posts by your exist in the database, not how many you have made.

As a mod and admin of other sites, I have to admit, the deleted button should be restricted to mod and admit, cause is easier to administer the site, and the deleted button can cause problems among user.

If I were to moderate or administrate a forum, my policy on deleting posts would be that you can delete a post within a certain time window after it's been posted, and you only can delete a thread if nobody has replied.

So, what's up with this now? Al, you said you removed deleting, but I see a delete button above my posts again. Is this a mistake, a way to request deletion by you, or the deletion reenabled?

Fixed it now. I probably copied the v4 source over when deletes were allowed back then.

Dang, I should have taken advantage of it and deleted a bunch of my posts while I had the chance.
