Right then what is this train wreck.

According to : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyber_Groove it's a DDR clone that was released in 2000. There is surprisingly little information about the game out there on the internet, but I discovered it sometime last year and on a very slow day decided to dig into the games data files.

Several more very slow days later, this pack was put together of every file in both games, matching as close as possible to how they are presented in the game.

Doesn't that just look magical?

Each song has 3 difficulties for each of it's modes on a scale of 1 to 9. The charting quality is Not Good but for the time period I'd definitely seen far far worse. The simfiles I have uploaded contain their Single, Double and Solo counterparts.

You can get them here at this simfile category: Simfile Category Here!

Rest of this is just a list of what's missing and some odd notes about the files:

Missing are the couples charts (they appear to be just mirrored horizontally for player 2 in places?)
The reverse solo charts (Literally just the single player chart with some left or right arrows placed on the DL and DR, also SM doesn't support this)

The two players one controller charts, player one uses L UL U RU and player two uses DL D DR R and they play their respective couples charts mapped to those four arrows. Also not really a mode in SM I can put this into.

Some quirks:

Each file has its correct title based on how it's listed in the game, artists are not listed in game so in house files have a . as their artist.
Each file has just one bpm assigned to it. As a result that's how I marked these files, even those that clearly have more than one bpm or a live bpm.
The doubles charts I believed were auto genned but not in a way I could determine was consistent, so they ended up being transcribed manually, they really love their P1 and P2 U and D split jumps though!

Files missing:

One or two of the songs allegedly have different easy charts on both games, but couldn't check this to be sure. Was also less keen on checking every single song on both games to find this out!
There's data for one or two songs that just aren't present in the game, I tried to piece it together to see if a full file could be made but they all had either step data or music data not present.
The SE version had "DLC" currently nobody knows how to make this work with the game, if someone wants to find out more about how to make this work and can supply me with game data files of the stepcharts and whichever wav the game is looking for to make it work I might revisit this and put them in.

Take it as it is, I've spent far too much time on putting this together but its not my problem now!

Just to repeat in case you missed it: Simfile Category Here!

Have Fun!

Thanks for putting this together 👍

I'm gonna have to assume that there's no actual banner available? Aside from that beautiful screenshot, of course 😆
There is a point where all of this needs to stop, and we've clearly passed it.

Correct, there's nothing really suitable in the entire games files. I considered just making one up but couldn't work out what I'd base it off of :p
