So recently I went and bought the AtGames Legends Ultimate Mini with the intent of hacking it into a SOUND VOLTEX machine. However, upon receiving the cabinet, I realized this thing has a lot more potential than being just a SDVX cabinet. Thanks to the screen being rotatable, I thought, "hey, what if I made this thing into some sort of multicade for BEMANI games?"
So this is where the initial thought process began: The BEMANI Junior
This would be the cabinet that would put all my other music game cabinets to rest (not seriously), as it would make playing BEMANI games unique all in a single junior sized cabinet. In case for some who aren't aware, I made music game mods out of Arcade1Up machines in the past, some pretty crazy ones too. This includes SDVX Mini, Hand Pump, and DDR.
An example of the cab running SDVX EXCEED GEAR EAC and DDR GRAND PRIX:
The goal with this cabinet is to allow a user to be able to switch between DDR, SDVX, IIDX, or Pop'n within the same arcade cabinet. Simply swapping the controller decks and rotating the screen depending on the game.
So what am I looking for in this thread? Well, a lot of things.
I am looking for anyone who is willing to contribute to this absolutely insane project, this includes providing information about hardware of specific arcade games, ideas on how the hardware should work for the user, and I'm even looking for artists who can draw the BEMANI characters from each of their games like DDR or SDVX. I know I can't tackle this project alone, and I do have some people already helping me out in terms of builds. But it would be amazing if I had BEMANI fans getting the chance to participate in a project so crazy it could take off into the market of custom cabinet commissions for ArcadeTuneUP (my At Home Music Arcade Gaming commissions). I want to take this chance to let everyone have a say about what should be done on this cabinet that would potentially be the first of its kind for BEMANI. Imagine not needing to sacrifice your desk for BEMANI home games and instead use a decently sized form factor cabinet that can let you play whatever games you want. Wouldn't this be amazing? It may not be the same exact experience at the arcade but it will be able to provide players lots of fun in their homes, especially during these troubling times.
I started ArcadeTuneUP with the intent of providing custom music arcade cabinets into players homes, players who do not have access to arcades like Round1 or any arcade with music games in general, I do not plan to stop this goal anytime soon until music game cabinets can officially be shrunken down without my hacking skills. (Like if Arcade1Up actually released DDR but it would probably suck anyway to be honest...)
I know there are arcade purists who would hate this idea, and that's okay. This project isn't for everybody but it never hurts to take the chance to provide a unique experience for both new and old players in the BEMANI Community.
I would love to hear everyone's input on this proposal, as I have shared this idea with some friends and even other communities!

Im not really handy when it comes to hardware on bemani products BUT i do know this...
AVOID AMD PRODUCTS FOR BEMANI GAMES.
Honestly just throw in an i5 with a 1060 you are good.

If i could play DDR single player in vertical screen mode that would be pretty cool. Might be able to get away with 800+ scroll speed due to the added screen height.
Not really sure how the control setup works. Are the controls built into the cab? Or do you have to place a controller on top of the existing control surface?

more than likely gut those buttons and put knobs and the 7 remaining buttons for SDVX. I recommend a 120 hz monitor for SDVX but 60 FPS settings for DDR (In Nvidia settings)

Aren't AMD graphics more compatible with DDR games? Idk about CPU's though
