Found some footage of the game in action, from the official youtube channel!
So this is basically MaiMai if you can move the touchpads around, with a dash of DJMAX Technika.
Personally, I think this has a realistic shot of being at Round1 locations in the US, mainly because Andamiro serves the North American market more than Konami does (Remember, officially, they've only given us DDR, Tsum Tsum, Dancerush, and IIDX, while Andamiro has a long history of not only giving us Pump It Up, but a whole slew of redemption games. ).
Here's direct feed of the tutorial, too.

Wish they had solely stuck with the wheel, but then some might feel that's not distinct enough.

I feel the same, I think the game (while it does look fun) is trying to do way too many things.The amount of artists they brought in for originals or license is amazing. I'm surprised they haven't done this with Pump it Up, or potentially we'll see a bunch of these artists in the next version.

I called it, people. This game and Tetote Connect are coming to R1 at some point in the future.

Two whole note types are getting removed in 1.20. On the bright side, it won't be a grindfest for song unlocks!

Ironically now it might have a chance of making it to Canada, since the aforementioned Round1's are probably gonna wanna offload at least some of their cabinets...
I got to play it at the Round1 in Vancouver. Er... The other Vancouver, in Washington state. It was a bit of a mess but still kinda fun—I can see why it didn't get much traction though.
