Yep, there's a bit of a twist this round. Starting this round, dummy files from me as well as other non-participants will be entered in to make guessing the other competitors harder! However, this can also play in your favor! If you manage to guess a dummy file's author correctly, you still get bonus points for it! This time around (Round 2), there is only one dummy file, created by me. Good luck!

Thought process for guessing: Based on song choice alone, idk honestly. After playing the chart: doublestepping extravaganza, plenty of drills, questionable rhythm choices…

Try less drills, less doublestepping, and more listening to the rhythms of the song (I swear there was one moment where you charted a 16th drill when in the music there were 12ths. I’m sorry but questionable rhythm choices in general can be a huge turnoff for me, and this instance is no exception).

But now Slingshot is also sus, especially considering like one doublestep and some noticeable undercharting. After playing Double Dribble and figuring that one is Pandy though…

ESP 13: Quite understepped. There were definitely moments that justified some 16th note usage. Thankfully not a severe case of understepping; even DXY! ESP is worse, and I find that to be an enjoyable 12. The fact that this is one level higher helps too. That said, that much 8th note streaming….gets kinda boring? Idk, maybe the song did not want any rhythms that were remotely more interesting. In that case, you should make up for it in patterning, which here I found was kinda front facing? Could have been spicier with a few extra crossovers or something, idk.

Thought process for guessing: Based on song choice alone, 150bpm, slows down to 75 somewhere, lots of dance vibes. Slight hint of Baronda vibes. This is basically a subgenre of metal known as RaverAce metal; is he trying to bamboozle us with this kind of metal? After playing: the stutter gimmicks are the only thing in there that seems like something RaverAce would not normally do asa stepper, but then again… Okay I replayed Baronda from SC2021 and yep it all checks out. I guess he wanted us to believe he would never make a chart like Baronda again, but…

Thought process for guessing: Based on song choice alone, considering the conversations about forced taking requests now, this is unlikely to be t7r or forced. But goddammit, these old school IIDX vibes! vonafroa maybe? I mean he did do a meme song last round. There’s also eataninja, who almost submitted 100% minimoo-G. Oh wait, 105-420bpm? Who (other than myself) would consider such a thing? After playing the chart though, this feels like Pandy getting very experimental by Pandy standards. Rhythms got near MAGICAL VOICE SHOWER vibes. Also lots of those two arrow jacks and no laterals. The only thing here that Pandy would not normally do is IX/Elemental Creation-esque bpm gimmicks. And after revisiting Clockwork Genesis from SC2021, yep, checks out.

DSP 13: If DEAD END ~GROOVE RADAR SPECIAL~ was significantly slowed down and polished up to the fullest possible extent without ditching the original concept, I feel like the result would be somewhat like this. Not bad.

Kekkle is also sus, but maybe a little too sus. Okay after playing the chart, feels way more like a Kekkle chart than a forced chart (considering crossovers that seem big brained on sightread, but get more understandable over time), and I do not really sense chrononical at all.

Seeing as the results for Round 2 have come out earlier than normal, that means that you all get extra time to submit your file for Round 3! The deadline for Round 3 submissions is still November 21st.

Yep, that's right, a fourth round has emerged and has been added to the schedule! While the gimmick of this round hasn't been decided yet, there will be something special about this round. Stay tuned!

Yep, there's 4 dummy files this time! One from me, one from Talkion, one from Telperion, and one from the secret stepper. The secret stepper is a completely anonymous stepper that doesn't even appear named in the lineup. If you are able to guess the secret stepper's identity or what file they did, you get 20 bonus points for just the correct identity, and an additional 20 points for the correct file for the secret stepper (this will replace the normal 5 bonus points for a correct guess in the case of the secret stepper, but only if you guess the secret stepper's identity correctly)! A total of 40 extra bonus points is up for grabs if someone can manage the near-impossible feat of guessing both the stepper identity and the file! Best of luck!
