Introduction Thread

The name's Richard, I prefer being called by my favorite Japanese nickname, Reiji. Living in Woodland Hills, 17th year, played DDR for quite a long time, and that's all.

Might as well introduce myself here.

I'm cpubasic13, real name William. I live in Citra, Florida, which is between Ocala and Gainesville. I mostly play DDR and ITG at home and mostly PIU NX at the arcade. I can complete 10s on DDR, 10s on ITG, and the hardest song I've beaten on PIU would be Chimera HD.

I began playing StepMania when I looked at the DDR Thread at Acmlm's Board, which Hiryuu's Chaos Angel sims got me hooked on it. Now I sometimes like making simfiles while mostly playing the game.

I love BeatmaniaIIDX and I suck somethin' awful at DDR, but I love watching people play it. Although I shouldn't because that only makes me feel more stupid. Oh well.

I'm exclusively a one-handed IIDX player, I'm hoping to own the whole IIDX collection really soon.

I'm really hoping this site will get a whole bunch more people on it very soon because it's awesome and it sucks to see such awesome talent not recognized.

Finally, in my time on here, you're gonna see me using this a lot--> <--because I love that smiley!

Oscar's the name, and at the arcade in which I go to play, they dubbed me the Doubles expert.
Hardest song I've played was Maxx Unlimited.
Hardest 10-footer to pass is Xepher.

I also play Guitar Hero for the PS2, Mortal Kombat, and I am slowly losing faith in the Disaster they call the PS3...Sony fan!

But yeah, I hardly use my computer, seeing as I'm always out doing something.

I'm still waiting to see where my favorite game series are going before I make a decision on the next-gen consoles.

Depends on what the series is.

If it's Halo (HALO SUCKS!!!) then of course, 360.
If it's God of War, PS3
If it's Final Fantasy, most likely PS3, but there have been rumors of possible 360 releases.
If it's Devil May Cry, PS3
If it's IIDX, PS3!!! <--One can only hope.
If it's DDR, PS3 or 360. I'm sure every new release is gonna be on both.
If it's WWE games, PS3
If it's anything else, you're on your own.

IIDX doesn't need to go to PS3. It's doing quite well; even IIDX GOLD is still standard definition: 640x480 only and still looks amazing.

Oh agreed completely. Happy Sky/DistorteD/Gold look amazing, but 1 year from now, I highly doubt Konami is gonna keep making them for the PS2. They're gonna have to upgrade eventually. And all you have to do is get a Japanese PS3, and you can play all the PS2 IIDX's on that! Rock!

My guess is that IIDX will go to either the PS3 or the Wii, since the 360 doesn't sell well in Japan

Thank God for lack of region protection on PS3 games or I'd cry. I guess the PS2 region protection is a minor obstacle. I already have a Japanese PS2 so I'm over that.

I'm Glaexeaus. I live in Canada. Yay Canada. I play IIDX (some 10's; I'm somewhat new at it) and DDR (most 10's) and ITG (some 12's) and would get into Pop'n if it wasn't so costly for a good controller. X_X

And I randomly do some Bemani fanart every now and then.

Hi, I'm Laurent from France and I like all kind of rythm games
I have a homemade Pop'n Music controller and a Beatmania controller too as you can see on these links.
I also have a guitar hero, guitarfreaks and drummania controllers.
I've tried other rythm games like taiko no tatsujin, para para dance, DDR (of course)
My favorite one is Pop'n Music ... it's so fun too play on such a huge device ... and so boring for the neighbors

Hi everyone, the name's Andy, although none of you would really care, ha!

Some people regard me as one of the younger players of IIDX and Bemani (13...), play loads of IIDX and own every style, one-handed and up to 9s at the moment! I do Pop'n Music whenever I can find it, but my DDR interest is slowly going downhill, although Supernova 2 will probably change that!

Do drawing, most of it just fanart of GOLI's stuff lately. But otherwise, just hope to get to know all of you better: seems like a great and informative site with even better people!
